Atlanta Falcons receiver Darius Johnson starts strong vs. New Orleans Saints' Corey White

Full Story Nola.Com

Atlanta -- Atlanta Falcons rookie wide receiver Darius Johnson wanted to smile and feel good about his breakout performance during Thursday's night's game against the New Orleans Saints.

After all, the rookie free agent turned in a strong first half to help the Falcons stay step-for-step with the Saints for most of the night.

But like many rookies, inconsistency plagued Johnson, who wasn't able to keep up his performance in the second half as the Saints came away with a 17-13 win at the Georgia Dome.

For the big catches Johnson made in the first half against Saints cornerback Corey White, he had a couple big blunders in the decisive second half.
