Props to Alvin Kamara for making the most of his offseason. The New Orleans Saints running back headlined “The Catch” sport fishing tournament in Florida last week, teaming up with Miami Dolphins star Raheem Mostert to win the whole thing. They competed with other NFL players including Kamara’s former Saints teammates Trey Hendrickson and Jameis Winston.

One of the highlights of the fishing rodeo came when Kamara and two of his teammates hooked three sailfish at the same time. Kamara described it as “Chaos. Organized chaos … It was great. Lot of moving parts, but I think we did it...

The New Orleans Saints still have needs heading into the 2024 NFL Draft, but many can still be solved. Since Dennis Allen took over as head coach, the Saints showed the ability to identify the biggest need on the team and draft a solution. This was shown in 2022 with the picks of Trevor Penning and Chris Olave and the draft picks of Bryan Bresee and Isaiah Foskey in 2023. Tackle and wide receiver were by far the biggest need in 2022, and defensive tackle and edge rusher were the biggest need in 2023. Although some of these players have not fully worked out, the team still drafted what was...

The New Orleans Saints still have plenty of needs to address in the draft and are looking to find future superstars in this draft. Now with all of this being said, let’s take a look at the selections I made for the Saints:

The Atlanta Falcons are facing serious tampering allegations with the possibility of losing draft picks, per ESPN reporter Adam Schefter. The tampering allegations stem from the Falcons’ signing of former free-agent Kirk Cousins.

Both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Falcons are currently under investigation for tampering. According to Schefter, the discipline for both teams is “likely to involve draft picks.” The league could announce disciplinary actions as early as this week.

Atlanta currently holds the eighth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. They have a total of eight draft picks...

Will the Saints draft former college teammates again in 2024?

  • News source: John Sigler

It may seem far-fetched to think the New Orleans Saints could pick multiple players from the same school in the 2024 NFL draft. After all, teams are picking from a pool of hundreds of players, and even if the Saints own nine selections that’s just a drop in the bucket of this year’s 257 picks. The odds of two college teammates continuing to compete together on the same team after turning pro can’t be good.

But it’s more likely than you’d think. In the 57 years (and 57 drafts) since the team was founded in 1967, the Saints have double-dipped by picking players from the same schools in 22 different drafts. And some years they went back to the same wells in the same draft classes by picking pairs of players from multiple programs. Obviously that’s easier to do in the early days when the draft had 17 rounds, or 12, rather than just seven like we’ve come to know during the last 30 years.

In total, the Saints have picked two players from the same school a surprising 33 times. They once drafted three players from Michigan in the same year (Paul Seal, Larry Cipa, and Don Coleman in 1974). Since Mickey Loomis began running their draft in 2003 they’ve double-dipped like this six times, and twice in his first year on the job. Most recently they drafted a pair of Ohio State Buckeyes in 2016, both in the second round: wide receiver Michael Thomas and safety Vonn Bell.

Who else has taken this path? Here’s the full list:
