Buccaneers Tom Brady Receives Warning from the NFL Regarding Sideline Conduct

It's a copycat league, and that's what the NFL is afraid of as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback continues his crusade against tablets.

By David Harrison

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost at home against the Green Bay Packers in Week 3 of the NFL season.

It was their first loss, coming off the heels of two-straight wins against the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints respectively.

But if you looked at the sideline footage alone, you'd likely think the one loss came at the hands of the Saints.

That's because Brady was seen taking a lot of his frustrations in New Orleans out on those wicked tablets the NFL has turned to in lieu of printed photos for players to look at during the course of the game.

“I’ve had a pretty bad record against that tablet, unfortunately,” Brady said while speaking with Jim Gray on the Monday following the Bucs win over the Saints. “I think I forgot the password and I couldn’t log in, so those things can be frustrating. Unfortunately, the tablet just happens to get in the way, and obviously that’s the reason things weren’t going great [against the Saints], so I had to take it out on the poor meaningless tablet.”

While Brady had a more humorous look at his treatment of tablets, the NFL apparently doesn't see it as a laughing matter. ...

What would you do with the 14th overall pick if you were in charge of the New Orleans Saints? Trade up, trade down, or stay put and pick your favorite player? Which prospects would you target? It isn’t an easy question to answer, and the Saints themselves have spent months developing their strategy.

With the 2024 NFL draft’s first round getting closer by the minute, our staff writers shared their thoughts on how they would approach the situation. Now all we have to do is take Mickey Loomis’ place inside the Saints’ war room:

One of the New Orleans Saints’ newest players will be greeted by a new teammate. Taysom Hill will announce the team’s second round pick in the 2024 draft on Friday night, the NFL announced Thursday, along with many other current and former players around the league.

The Saints are currently scheduled to pick at No. 45 overall. So unless they trade that selection — in a potential move up from the 14th slot in Thursday night’s first round — then it’ll be Hill welcoming his new teammate to the NFL.

It’s tempting to read into this as an indicator of Hill’s job security. He currently has one...

4 scenarios the Saints can get their tackle without trading up

The New Orleans Saints should be looking for an offensive tackle in the first round of the NFL draft. Unfortunately for them, many other teams are also looking for an offensive tackle. That puts them in a situation where they possibly could be sitting at No. 14 with all of the prominent offensive tackles off the board.

The Saints are possibly in the market for both tackles, so Taliese Fuaga, Olu Fashanu, Troy Fautanu, JC Latham are all viable options. Joe Alt staying on the board this far would be beyond shocking. We’re keeping it realistic, and at least one of those four prospects could be available at No. 14. These are three hypotheticals that would likely lead to one or multiple offensive tackles being available without trading up. This would all have to happen before the Saints pick.

While the New Orleans Saints aren’t scheduled to pick until 14th overall, there is plenty of intrigue surrounding what may be a chaotic 2024 draft. And maybe the Saints get involved with a trade or two themselves. Rumors are already swirling about which teams may be on the move, who may want to move up, and who could be willing to move down. But it all starts here when the Chicago Bears go on the clock with Thursday night’s first selection.

Here is a look at the complete order of picks for Round 1, which begins tonight at 7 p.m. CT:

After announcing his retirement on Wednesday, former New Orleans Saints offensive lineman James Hurst sat down with NOF.com to share his thoughts on retirement and the state of the New Orleans offensive line.

Even with many questions surrounding the future of the line, Hurst was confident about the unit’s talent heading in 2024.

“There’s a lot of momentum with how the season ended,” Hurst said. “(The offensive line) underperformed from every expectation for the start of the season… We ended the season very positively and that does a ton for the next season.”

Hurst later notes that the...

The New Orleans Saints drafted Cameron Jordan 24th overall out of Cal in 2011, and 13 years later he sits as the official all-time sack leader in team history. As the anchor of the Saints defense for a decade, Jordan was the fifth defensive end drafted in 2011 and currently leads his draft class in career sacks, a class that included J.J. Watt, Ryan Kerrigan, and Robert Quinn.

Honorable Mentions: Willie Roaf, Deuce McAllister, Archie Manning, Marshon Lattimore

With the NFL Draft coming up tonight, we asked our readers to let us know who they wanted the New Orleans Saints to pick:

After 204 votes the runaway winner is Penn State offensive tackle Olu Fashanu. Fashanu was an AP All-American last year and is the 2nd highest rated Tackle on most draft boards. If available, the Saints should definitely consider him as their offensive line situation is getting worse. With James Hurst retiring and Ryan Ramczyk struggling with his health, the Saints are in desperate need of offensive line help. Fashanu can provide stability that the Saints have not had...

Everyone has their own ideas about what the New Orleans Saints should do with their first round pick in the 2024 NFL draft — including players already on the team. Cameron Jordan sat down with NFL Network to preview the first round of selections on Thursday, and he shared his take on where the Saints should look to improve with the 14th overall pick.

“Who do I want? I’m very biased,” Jordan laughed. “If y’all are thinking top-10, offense galore, I’m thinking No. 14, defense. Run me the big defensive tackle. I like the little Florida State kid. I really like a Texas D-tackle. Just know, if...

The NFL Draft is right around the corner, and the New Orleans Saints roster is set, barring any twists. Let’s see how the Saints can fill the remaining holes on the roster with their copious picks in this year’s draft.

This being my third and final mock draft, I had to get the last member of the three F offensive linemen. Troy Fautanu is a talented tackle prospect with positional versatility throughout the offensive line. Although he is a little undersized for a left tackle at 6-foot-4, his arm length makes up for it. He has the same arm length as number one tackle prospect Joe Alt, 34 ½...

The 2024 NFL draft is officially upon us as the first round is set to kick off on Thursday night at 7 p.m. CT. The New Orleans Saints are currently scheduled to pick at No. 14 overall, and the majority of expert mock drafts have them taking an offensive tackle in Round 1.

With the rest of their selections, there are a few key positions that the Saints should look to target: defensive tackle, wide receiver, safety and more offensive linemen. Other positional needs that maybe aren’t as pressing but can definitely be added to are nickel, tight end and pass rusher specifically in the middle...
