INDIANAPOLIS — New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis sees 11-year veteran quarterback Derek Carr as “a guy we can win with, and we’re excited about it.”

Loomis made those comments on Wednesday to a small group of New Orleans-based reporters who traveled to Indianapolis for the NFL scouting combine.

Carr has two years remaining on the four-year, $150 million contract that brought him to New Orleans as a free agent in 2023.

There has been a lot of rumors swirling regarding the future of Derek Carr with the New Orleans Saints. Many thought that with the new regime, there could be a major change at the quarterback position, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.
