Local breakfast outside of the casino you want to go to The Buttercup or The Mockignbird Cafe. The Buttercup does their version of Eggs Benedict that is amazing but it may only be for Sunday brunch. The Mockingbird is a coffee shop with a small menu. It's a very unique place and worth checking out. They also have live music on Thursday nights and kids are always welcome. Both places are in Olde Town Bay Saint Louis where there are a bunch of shops and right down the road from the beach.

There are tons of good places for dinner. For entrees go to Trapani's or South Beach. Both are at the end of Main Street on the beach. Not sure what you consider pricey but both of those places are a little more than the average place around here. But they also have po-boys and sandwiches. Rickey's in BSL is good as well. No scenery but not as expensive either. If you want something simple like a fried seafood platter or po-boy, go to KG's on the corner of Hwy 603 and Hwy 90. Both good and affordable.

For fishing, if you're not going to the pier, just take him to the seawall in either BSL or Clermont Harbor by Buccaneer. Drive til you see people and ask if they're catching anything. If you go by Buccaneer, pick up a couple crab nets. They usually catch a few. The only thing open inside of Buccaneer is the campground and the playground, which the little one will probably like. It's pretty big. They just now began rebuilding the wave pool and the water slides.

As far as I know, you can cook on the beach. Just clean up your mess. Even if it isn't we have no beach patrol so unless a cop sees you, and cares enough to stop you, which is highly unlikely, you'll be fine.

Anymore questions just ask.
