That's way too cute.

Pelosi is just shrill.

Hillary is vicious, fights dirty and fights to win.

I'd put my money on Bill's wife.

You are grossly underestimating Pelosi. She's smarter than Hillary. The fact that you think she's "just shrill" kind of proves the point. I bet you, like Hillary, actually thought there might be do-overs in Michigan and Florida until just recently. That burnt smell in the air is Hillary's goose and it came out of Pelosi's oven a long time ago. lol

As for Pelosi, her eyes creep me out. I know, I know, it's shallow of me, but if she would just tone down that silent film actress startled look it would help.

Who took impeachment of Bush off the table? For the hard-left, that burning smell is Pelosi's bridges. :D

Is this a fight between them over Bush?

I know the Clintons vacation with the Bush familiy. Pelosi's daughter was the producer of a documentary on Bush, "Journey on George" or something like that. She followed Bush around for two years as his lap dog.

Pelosi hasn't had fans in far left camps for years. She's been getting booed by the extremists for quite some time. She gets painted as a far left zealot because that's what sells (ever notice every election cycle whatever Dem runs for President is the most liberal Senator / Governor / etc) but really she's just your run of the mill political opportunist and that doesn't fly well with ideologues.

She's just damn good at spotting opportunity and exploiting it.

I was really surprised to find out Pelosi was the daughter of the former mayor of Baltimore. Remember that thread? :hihi:

Pro-Hillary Fat Cat Democratic Donors Threatening Nancy Pelosi
March 26, 2008

The Fat Cats signing the letter included Susie Tompkins Buell, Bob Johnson, Bernard Schwartz, Maureen White and Steven Rattner. Who are they? Ask Google.

The transparent evil in this statement continues to entrench the Democratic nomination fight somewhere between "hilarious" and "mediocre Oliver Stone movie":

"We have been strong supporters of the DCCC [Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee] ... We therefore urge you to clarify your position on superdelegates and reflect in your comments a more open view to the optional independent actions of each of the delegates at the national convention in August."

It will be funny when every convention delegate accepts Hillary's "vote for whomever!" advice by punching her in the face.

I think Pelosi knows the fastest way to losing the Speakership is through a Hillary Presidency. Obama may very well lead to a Republican Congressional resurgence, but Hillary definitely will. That's why most of the people in Congress favor an Obama ticket (and why Congressional superdelegates are split, those voting for Hillary having committed much earlier when she was inevitable).

Mary Landrieu, for instance, would be in much worse shape with a Hillary ticket than an Obama ticket, especially now. Could you imagine Landrieu winning with a the supressed black turnout that would follow if Hillary won the nomination?

Highly motivated Republican base + low black turnout = bad news for Democrats

I will add a caveat and say that the Democrats will likely pick up seats regardless, considering the Republican turnover this year. Obama is still the safer pick for people down the ticket though.

I am curious - was Pelosi fighting to get rid of unpledged delegates before this election cycle?
