I have, over the years, developed some facial ticks, specifically, twitching my eyebrows. It comes mostly from my OCD, where I have to do everything an even number of times, and mostly in sets of 4, such as touching walls, and such. Is there a medication that can help? I have some social anxiety, and thanks to the drug companies, the one medicine I know that can help some, marijuana, is illegal since they cannot profit off it. So, without risking going to jail, is there anything that can really help?

Marijuana is a medicine, unfortunately it's illegal, move to Cali, you'll be fine!! :)

I don't think you need to worry about cdogg. He can't drink, but he's got his other bases covered.

Used to at least. I am drinking now, but since I took my old 'friends' woman, and married her, I don't know anyone anymore to help me with my problem, and I don't fee like moving to California, although the honeymoon in Jamaica was niiiiice....

Yep, that's it, I can't control my facial ticks, but your response of a dog collar cures everything. Thanks.

cdogg, if you been officially diagnosed with OCD or social anxiety try asking your doctor or psychiatrist what he would recommend in medication to try and control it. I have them both too probably a bit worse but thats what I would do if I were you.

seriously I know people with similar social anxiety and OCD created stress issues that Xanax does wonders for, but if you abuse it, it makes things worse.

Taking as prescribed will help tremendiously with some anxiety issues, that probably lead to your muscular twitches...

If yours is a "bit worse", and thats what you would do if you were him, what you do as you for your issues?

Well according to my doctor my issues are pretty severe, SWJJ. I have facial jerks and my teeth are always gritting continuously and I cannot control it. I was prescribed Orap for a long time and it led to some problems later on. I wasn't trying to make a big deal out of it man, I was only trying to help cdogg out because I have a similar problem and felt some responsible answer was needed

I have a mouth guard to sleep with because I grind my teeth as well out of stress

Teeth grinding and facial tics aren't good signs there fellahs. This thread is steadily getting creepier than the Silence of the Lambs.
