Espn Sportsnation mock has us w/ talib (1 Viewer)

mentally challenged...

With rivers still on the board no way we draft talib

Who the #1 or 2 CB in the draft is purely speculation, and Talib could easily turn out to be the best.....

ESPN Sportsnation Mock Draft = Epic Fail

Among the most questionable picks, either with bad value or doesn't remotely fit a need:

1 Dolphins - Matt Ryan, QB, Boston College
10 Saints - Aquib Talib, CB, Kansas
14 Bears - Chad Henne, QB, Michigan
16 Cardinals - Jonathan Stewart,
21 Redskins - Mario Manningham, WR, Michigan

While they let guys like these slide, (including a unfathomable amout of OL):

18 Texans - Ryan Clady, OT, Boise State
23 Pittsburgh - Jeff Otah, OT, Pittsburgh
25 Seahawks - Chris Williams, OT, Vanderbilt
26 Jaguars - Derrick Harvey, DE, Florida
28 Cowboys - Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy

They also rely two much on regionalism and college reputation.

2nd best post in this thread...

1rst if you disqualify posts that use the term mentally challenged

There is no way Henne goes in the first. Manningham won't be a first round pick. Someone like the panthers or broncos won't pass on Clady. Ottah or Williams or Harvey will not fall that far. Miami will not go QB with their first pick. They passed up on Quinn to draft Beck. I'm pretty sure they'll give him a full year to see what he can do. McKelvin won't drop that far. Sports Nation = a **** load of rotten stinky BS

How quickly everyone forgets Ginn Jr. It always happens.

I think Groce was on the SAINTS roster the last few training camps. :covri:

I'm not sure there are any guarantees that can be made regarding what Miami will or will not draft. Tuna was not the man making the picks last year. He has no attachments to last year's picks beyond inheriting them. I don't think he'll take QB in the first without trading down first, but nobody knows what he thinks of Ryan but him. Who ever thought Rivers would be traded for the #1 when Eli came out? Miami is hurting, and Tuna will do whatever he thinks will help turn things around. All that said, this mock seems pretty crazy.

Unless the Pacman trade doesn't materialize, why would Dallas draft a CB? This draft doesn't make a lot of sense.
