Yet another reason to detest Yahoo sports:

Who goes first in Ultimate Mock Draft IV? - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

Who goes first in Ultimate Mock Draft IV?

By Michael Silver, Yahoo! Sports
April 11, 2008

Here's how the hypothetical exercise works: Using the original draft order, each of the 32 teams is allowed to pick any athlete on earth as the cornerstone of its franchise. In the UMD, no one is off-limits. A team can pick Pacman Jones or Marion Jones or Tim Tebow or Michael Vick, who happens to have been the No. 1 overall pick in the first incarnation of this draft (oops), followed by Tom Brady in '06 and Carson Palmer last year.

Again, I am using the original draft order, before trades and, in the case of the Patriots, commissioner-mandated confiscation. Let me spell this out in capital letters: THIS IS THE ORIGINAL DRAFT ORDER, NOT THE ORDER IN WHICH TEAMS WILL ACTUALLY DRAFT IN THE FIRST ROUND LATER THIS MONTH.

New Orleans Saints – Jay Cutler, QB. Sean Payton doesn't need a big-armed quarterback to run his crafty offense, but with apologies to Drew Brees, it seldom hurts to have a guy who can flat-out sling the ball. While fellow '06 draftees Vince Young and Matt Leinart regressed in their second seasons, Cutler showed signs of blossoming into a full-fledged star.

Cutler? Really? Jay Cutler? We could have any player in the NFL, minus the nine already selected, and we take Jay Cutler?

Another credibility hit to Yahoo sports. This is just stupid.
- They have LT going 20th
- Vernon Gholston @ 23, having never played a down in the NFL
- Jamarcus Russel in the 1st round, ahead of Brees, Hasselbeck, Gerrard, McNabb, Bulger, Roethlesburger (proven QB's)
- They have T.O. the 2nd WR

ROMO at 7...

Mike actually likes the Saints--I can only guess he must have lost $$$ picking them for the SB last year. ;)

Would have thought for a change of pace, he might have had us picking Glen "Big Bayou" Dorsey instead of the stock Drew/Colston picks.

Or even, with the 10th pick, The New Orleans Saints choose the SuperBowl to be played permanently in the SuperDome. ;)

Isn't Marion Jones a female track star?

Why in the world would we take an unproven Cutler over a proven Pro-Bowler Brees? What were they thinking?

This is really and truly mentally challenged. Across the board and in every way. This guy should be embarrassed.

The Saints draft Jay Cultler at 10, Wow in the words of Mr.Trump Your Fired!!!!!!! #21 LT, #28 AP, and the Saints who could have Brees in round 2 take Cultler. Please fill out an application at your local Wal-Mart.

That was my responce to his article.

Wow, this guy really puts the mock in Mock Draft.

Microsoft, please fire this guy when you take over.

Yahoo! Sports has credibility?

Yahoo! Sports has credibility?

Michael Silver is or at least was a senior writer for sports illistrated. He actually wrote a great article about football post Katrina, where he walked around with deuce.

What he wrote here was simply outrageous and he should know better than to write something like this. If he left Si for yahoo, maybe that was a huge mistake.
