Kiper and McShay just debated on the Mike and Mike show as to what the Saints will do with their pick. Kiper says that we will either trade with New England to beat Cincinnatti in drafting Ellis, or stay at 10 and pick Talib. McShay thinks we'll take Mike Jenkins at 10!

This is why I cant stand watching draft coverage for so many weeks in advance! We go from drafting Balmer, to McKelvin, to Cromartie, and now the name MIKE JENKINS at 10! These commentators "flip-flop" their picks like their picking Homecoming nominations!

Regardless of who we draft, I'll be happy when it's over, so we can actually start talking about PLAYING football!

It's annoying to see them flip flop, but it changes as information changes. I like the trade scenario, but picking Talib @ 10 makes me want to vommit. I'd much rather Jenkins, than Mr. Jittery Back Pedal Aqib Talib

Yeah, the problem is most of these guys go with "feels" for who would be the best fit at a need position, and not who the franchise is actually considering.

I'm fairly confident that the Saints will try to get either of the DT's first, outside linebacker second, try to trade down third and take a top rated corner fourth.

Although corner is a glaring need, there are enough quality players out there that you really don't have to take one at #10.

Really? They really can't make up their minds. Mcshay just today updated his mock on ESPN and has us taking Rivers saying "While taking any corner at this point is a reach, the Saints are in desperate need of help at the position so McKelvin, South Florida's Mike Jenkins, and Tennessee State's Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie are also possibilities."

In fact he doesnt have any CB going until 16th and he has Jenkins 3rd at 18th. Maybe in the mock you saw Ellis, Rivers, McKelvin are gone?

i just got my espn magizine the other day and ... mcshay says rivers! and kiper says DRC!! ESPN's online survey says Tablib!!!

TALK ABOUT WAFFLE HOUSE CENTRAL

I saw the segment and McShay actually said the Saints will take Rivers. But then went on some tangent and said the first CB off the board could be Jenkins to the Saints. He said he thinks as of now McKelvin heads to New England and Rivers to the Saints. Something like that anyway.

Linking the Saints to a variety of players is a good thing. Teams targeting one of them may want to trade up.

It will not be Talib. He is definitely not a SP player. He lied at the combine about all the trouble he had gotten into at college. That won't fly with Payton.

Talib didn't lie at the combine about anything, Manningham did. Talib told teams over three months ago about the failed drug tests. To his credit, he hasn't failed a test in over 2 years. Mayock and Kiper both said that they've known for a very long time about all of this and that NFL teams aren't that worried about it which is why he is moving up some draft boards.

IMO we have too many Sean Payton guys. We need someone with an attitude and a swagger on that defense. We have too many nice guys. I would've loved for us to get Rey Maualuga from USC, but he chose to return to school. We need to bring someone in who can bring the edge back. Is that Talib? I have no clue.

There is a difference between attitude and swagger and failing a drug test. We need more of a swagger on defense, but I think Vilma is the type of player that brings that. Talib may never get in trouble again, but I think there are several good corners in this draft and we can choose the one that fits us best.

Kiper is the only one that think's Talib is high first round material.

These guys all pick 10 different guys for each team, so that whatever guy gets picked, they can say "I picked him to go here." It's hedging their bets.
