The Baltimore Ravens' defense bullied the New Orleans offense and knocked Reggie Bush out of the game in a 35-22 victory, according to a report in The (Baltimore) Sun.

More on Bush

* • Bush ready to go

Afterwards, Baltimore outside linebacker Bart Scott knocked Bush a little more when he suggested he targeted Bush's ankle.

"The media darling, aka the golden boy of the NFL, tried to take a cheap shot at me, so I told him I was going to put some extra on it," Scott told the newspaper. "He must be used to playing against these guys in practice. He can do all those shakes he wants, but I wasn't going anywhere. I put a little hot sauce on that ankle."

Bush left the game in the fourth quarter with a sprained left ankle. The injury occurred after Scott tackled Bush by the ankles.

In what was easily the worst game of his young seven-game career, Bush rushed for 16 yards on five carries and totaled just 5 receiving yards on four catches.

"He's just a guy, simple as that," Scott told The Sun. "What did he get this week? He played like a kid who got chased from school."

Bart Scott talks like he is Lawrence Taylor or something. Strong words for a nobody on a good defense. Let's see him make a pro bowl or something before he proclaims himself a god, huh?

I can't believe he would dilibertly try and injure a player.
And just because he said this, MAN.. i know it don't make me better than him, And i hate to say this stuff, but ah hell, I hope someone takes him out the game, im gonna be focused on him all season long to wait for his injury and celebrate it..

I like trash talkers and everything, but that's just punk [admin edit - bd...no veiled profanity]. If he keeps playing like that, Someone will eventually deal with him. I do agree that Reggie played scared.

Bart who??

At least, I know his name now. Those 15 minutes of fame are counting down.

tick...tick...tick

While the Baltimore defense was on the sideline Bart Scott, with a team chalk board and marker wrote "SAME OLE SAINTS" and waived it at the around at the crawd. One of the least classiest things I've seen from an NFL player.

I said it yesterday, and i will say it again.

If Reggie was such a average player, aka a boy getting chased form school, why would you intentuionally try and injure him.

By admitting that he was trying to get him out of the game, it totallt discredits Scotts claim that Reggie is a average player.

really, i hope that if we somehow DID make the superbowl, we play the ravens

and bart scott gets juked literally out of his shoes by reggie, and literally BREAKS his ankle... and we win in a blow out... and joe horn writes on a chalk board "NOT THE SAME OLE SAINTS"

and then sean payton tackles ray lewis and beats him down

haha jk on the last part, but seriously

Bart Scott? you mean THE Bart Scott? still never heard of him. SuperSaint is right... those 15 minutes are ticking away...

The chalkboard smack thinkg would actually be playful and funny, if one of MY guys did it, so im not mad about it, but trying to get famous by hurting REGGIE seems kind of like the same mentality of that nobody guy who shot John Lennon trying to make a name for his loser-self. On a smaller scale, of course.

And actually, he failed at that too--- Bart who? Serious. I forgot his name trying to write this.

During the broadcast it was stated that Ravens players told the guys in the booth that Scott made Ray Lewis look sane(?)...

I wish he played for us.
