deuce, alexander, favre and harrison are the only ones on there i can see... seems like he needed a few more ppl to put on so he found a few ppl wi th problems and added them on the list.
He has obviously has a personal bone to pick with some of these guys, like Shockey and Ocho. He may not care for them personally, that doesn't mean they can't still contribute alot to an offense.
I mean, I don' t like D'Angelo Hall, but retire? He's 25 and just signed a new contract.
Stuff like this is why people don't take Florio seriously. If he titled it 'Guys I WISH would retire', it would be a different story. But he has a few legitimate ones and then ruins it with dumb ones.
Yes. Shockey should retire at 28 years old after what was an above average season for most any TE, despite being down by his own standards. Obviously, he's completely useless and should never play football again.
The Shockey and Ochocinco listings are pretty clearly tongue in cheek. Its not so much based on the players being washed up as it is that their contribution to teams is offset somewhat by the hoopla and distraction that seems to follow them.
Shockey was a mixed bag last year flashing signs of both his talent on the field and his talent for being a pain in the butt. Hopefully his play on the field this year will overshadow any of his actions of the field.
He reminds me a little bit of Dennis Rodman at times. Even those fans who did not like Rodman were probably disappointed if they got to the arena and he wasnt suited out. He brought a lot of energy to the game. I am hot and cold on Shockey, but he is a draw and fun player to watch live when he is on his game.
This was a terrible article. Ochocinco, Plax, Hall, and Shockey were some of the stupidest things I have ever seen. He had to put in the mandatory Favre plug. Then when he talked about LeCharles Bentley I really lost a lot of respect for him. Wanting a man to give up on his dream of playing in the NFL.
