Saints/Bears NFC Championship Gameday Thread (2 Viewers)

If you come out your rectum with an unwarranted and hyperbolic derogatory attack on the finest QB we've had in years, don't expect me to treat you with gentlemanly courtesy and higher intellect.

Drew had a poor game today. Dropped balls, inclement weather, and piss-poor blocking didn't help much, but I'll give you that. But when you claim he's been blowing chunks all postseason, you're gonna be disputed. I understand yours is the kind of crap that's gonna take over the board for the next week or so; doesn't mean I have to like it.

I said he was decent last week, not horrible. He was horrible THIS week. And I'm sick and tired of fans like you who attacks anyone who dare say a negative word about your beloved Saints. Hey, I love 'em too but they were horrendous today. This isn't a 3-13 fluke team that lucked into a 10-6 season. They were a tremendously good team that came out and looked likea porrly-coached team. Your crap is worse than anything I say because, you know what, I don't act like an elitist jerk when someone chooses to praise the team even when they play poorly. But people like you are quick to attack anyone who doesn't share your view.

Don't forget the push off that negated a first down and set us up for first and long (called by an official out of position to correctly call the play). Resutling in a punt. I blame this loss on the officials.

Well i blame it on the officials and our inability to protect the football. Either we got hosed quite a few times in this one.

Tough not to blame Drew on that one. He stood right in the pocket and threw it to no one. That was the first real brain fart he's had since the Cincy game. Sean Payton hasn't had to coddle him all year; why should he now? D'ah well.

Agreed, he could have stood there and taken the sack in the endzone thereby not committing the penalty

Tears of Joy last week, now Tears of Pain this week. I have to say this has been the most enjoyable football eason of my life. I look forward to reading the board throughout the offseason and the draft. If there is a positive note to this loss, it is that we still have unfinished buisness in reaching the SuperBowl. No one had us going this far this year, not even ourselves, so it has been a very succesful year

The crux of the matter is the Bears outplayed the Saints. The Saints looked tight, and out of sorts... the Bears looked calm and in control -- 0 penalties, 0 turnovers. That wins games.

Drew Brees did have a bad game, Sean Payton called a poor game... but really, do we have to go over that right now? I am very proud of this team, and I am happy to have seen them get this far. Why not let us enjoy that right now... we can dissect this game later.

Hold your heads up guys I know I will! I will shed no tears over this loss. There are many teams that would have loved to have been where we are!

You can blame the refs and the field, but thats crazy, this team had a chance in the 3rd quarter to win this game, but bad play calling, and terrible blocking cost us the game. We had it 3rd and 2 and threw the freaking ball, run the ball with #26 and see if we can pick up that 3rd down. We sucked on 3rd down the whole game, Fred Thomas got abused again, and we lost to a retarted QB. The Saints beat themselves today. We lost, its over, we gotta get this thing started again next season. Oh yeah Joe Buck sucks.

Yeah this was Fred's last game in the NFL. I gave him a pass this week because I had no choice. The ref's did cost us this game. The push off that negated a first down early was a huge play. They set the Bears up to win and then we couldn't overcome it. You made your points but then said the Saints beat themselves. Kinda lost me on that one but I catch your point overall. We'll be back. + a gazillion on Joe Buck sucks. Troy was good though. Gave our boys props there at the end.

the ref did job us a bit. i cant say that was what cost us the game. but i believe that playing the bears the turf and the refs was just too much.

its a joke to have so many non calls against the bears and so many calls that were questionable against us.

brees didnt play as well as he could have, but he was forced to be in catch up mode due to bad calls.

i am happy with the season. but this loss is hard to swallow. if we lost a fair game i wouldnt be as upset aboput it.
well i know the bears will lose the bowl. cause the refs and turf wont be on thier team then
