Associated Press PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb will not practice Wednesday because of his cracked rib.

Coach Andy Reid says McNabb is making progress. He also says it is still too early to determine if McNabb will start Sunday's game against New Orleans. Kevin Kolb is expected to take the snaps with the starters Wednesday.

Reid again made clear that Kolb will start against the Saints if McNabb can't play. Recently acquired Jeff Garcia would be Kolb's backup.

Reid is only required to tell the truth about if McNabb practiced or not. I wouldn't listen to anything else he has to say on the subject. I think McNabb will the a classic "game time" decision and if he does dress, it will be only as an emergency 3rd string QB.

It's better that they sit him out,if he even attempts to play Hargrove and the gang will be having a McRib lunch .

Certainly plausible...

Donovan's not playing this week with that broken rib so don't worry... Kolb will be starting and Garcia will be in the bullpen... ready & waiting.
