His career passer rating is 90.0, the ninth-best in NFL history. But in his three years-plus in New Orleans, according to pro-football-reference.com, Brees is 94.9, which would rank third in history, behind Steve Young (96.8) and Tony Romo (95.7, with a much smaller body of work).
Those numbers are staggering to me.

Not that we didn't already know this, but we need to enjoy and value every second that Brees is behind center because chances are that once he's gone we'll never see anything like him again.

EDIT: Here's the link to the article...very good read

I also just read that Romo's career record as a starter for months Sept.-Nov. is 22-4, yet he's only 6-8 in December.

True. I think he's a QB that pops up on a given team 1-2 times in a lifetime. Will he some day be mentioned in the same breath as the "greats", like Elway, Marino, and Montana, or be a foot note like Fran Tarkenton, Warren Moon, and Dan Fouts?

Who cares! There's nothing more enjoyable than watching a player at the pinnacle of his game. I wish we had players at a few other positions that were on top of their game like Drew.
