I think that the Bolls' no-huddle offense will be counter-productive against us. This style removes the offense from the field quickly, giving our offense more time of possession.

Any thoughts?

I agree. It only gives our offense more time on the field. But the D still haves to stop them...

No huddle doesn't strictly mean you're snapping it as soon as possible. Just that you're getting up to the LOS quickly. You can then hold the defense there at the LOS for as long as you want.

The Bills can rack up TOP if they can successfully convert third downs.

That said, this doesn't look like a good defense or a very good third down offense. They did 4-10 vs NE and then 4-12 vs TB. Little concerned about traveling so far for an afternoon game, but we should win this game handidly.

Agreed, but part of me feels like this could be the dreaded "trap" game. Having said that, this year feels completely different - it's like even though we normally would probably play down a little bit to a team like this I can't envision anyone slowing our offense down for a complete game. And our defense is playing very scrappy.

bottom line is the Bills are going to have their hands full next Sunday.

Hopefully Greer can lock down TO like he did when Buffalo played Dallas on MNF not too long ago. I don't think our offense will have any problem with their defense. We should definitely be 3-0 in a week's time.

Greer is going to be psyched to return to Buffalo. I expect a big game from him. Buffalo isn't terribly impressive on either side of the ball. Not saying they won't play us tough, but I do expect another win.

Is it too early to post a "The Bills Game is a TRAP!" thread?

I ws thinking of Tuesday but I do want to avod the rush.

Somehow every year every game we play is a "trap" game. It's weird.

You guys think we could score over 35 in every game?

We averaged 27 last year with Bush, Colston, and Shockey being injured for multiple games. And if our defense keeps getting us the ball back, most definitely. Will we? Doubtful, but we surely could.

I think its possible to average 35 a game. I think to beat NE's 2007 record we have to average like 36 or 37, and I believe we'll make a legit run at it. I think it's a mortal lock that we'll average over 30 points a game this season.

35 points every game is unreasonable though. At some point we'll have a bad game.

I am confident this year that we will be ready to play. If the other team has a magnificent performance and stops our best then that is just the way it goes sometime. Payton, Williams, and Brees will give it their best and avoid the traps.

I've read some Bills message boards and Trent Edwards is known over there as Captain Checkdown, and he does throw a lot of quick short checkdown passes, so I see this as a game where the defensive backs can't be giving 10 or 15 yard cushions every play.
