We really need this guy. He basically is our running game. If he lose him our offense just took a major shot.

I disagree, he is very good don't get me wrong, but PT can run as well, I think the O-line is as much responsible for the better running as Bell is, & PT will get his yards also, so lets don't burn down the barn just yet, give PT time to show what he can do.

I agree that Bell is a major part of our success. With that said, I'll back Thomas or Hamilton, or whoever else is back there.
I think the reason people are nervous about the Bell situation is because he is in a groove right now. He's in a rhythm. He hits the hole better than anyone else on the roster.

I'd be willing to bet that the MRI has been completed and the Docs are reviewing it as I type this message

PT may still not be 100%. You know what tho, in terms of tuff running, i think Hamilton may get some time if Bell is going to sit out for a while. I think he'll do good, just a gut feeling.

But above all i'm hoping Bell is okay, he has really impressed me this season.

How quickly people have forgotten about Pierre Thomas....

PT is not forgotten.

It's the thought of the three headed monster that makes me really concerned for Bell's MRI (especially given that all of the three heads seem to have had knee issues)

PT as a starter last year = 5.1 ypc
bell as a starter this year = 5.1 ypc

plus PT brings another receiving threat, great blocking, and no fumble worries. I am excited to see what happens when both PT and Bell are healthy.

Pierre will receive his starting job back next week.

Bell rushed 17 times for 86 yards...take out the 23 yarder he gained on one of his first carries, then he gained 63 yards on 16 carries.

PT has much more upside then Bell ever will.

No doubt, we need both of them for the long haul. I'm just glad we have them. They are both small backs that really pound the ball which means one at least one will probably always be banged up. PT is also an excellent special teams player. Plenty of room for both on roster when healthy.

Does anyone else cringe like I do when Reggie Bush carries the ball?

take out his one 19 yard gainer and he had 9 rushes for 14 yards.

You can't just take out a guys longest carry. It's ridiculously dishonest and dumb. All backs pad their averages with a long run or two a game.

Ok. I watched the whole game. I must have let the dogs out and made a sandwich on Bush's long run of 19 yards and Bell's long rush of 23 yards.

The efforts I DID see where pathetic from both.

Better?

We are in trouble if we have to depend on Reggie, I hope PT comes back 100% soon, if Bell will be out for a while

Exactly, I don't get the whole "take out this, and take away that" deal. All of it is part of the game, but some people just have to argue and tear players down. I'm convinced, now more than ever, that there are quite a few people who are fans of players, more than than a specific team. NTTAWWT, but, I want the Saints to win it all, to win big - which is what the team did yesterday.
