bell
so far this year on 3rd and short mike bell is 3/3 in 3rd down conversions.

mike bell has 45 carries so far this year. cedric benson and michael turner are tied for first with 50... if bell hadnt been hurt i think he would have had at least 5 more... i think we found a great running back...

brees
brees is number 2 in completions. (51 of 68 or 75%)
favre is beating him by 2.1% (37 of 48 or 77.1%)

he also has a 132.9 passer rating. number 2 is favre with 110.2.

also, 13.2% of his passes are touchdowns so far...

only WR in the league with 3 touchdowns...

sharper
is tied for 1st with 3 picks... (just an fyi... if this was last year, he'd be 2nd on the team already in picks, jason david had 5 all last year, second place had 2)

for those of us that wanted balance, the saints have run the ball 64 times for 290 yards (4.5 average) and the saints have thrown it 68 times for 669 yards (9.84 average)

so far we have a 48/52 balance...

i think payton is ready to call good games... i havent noticed any "bad calls" yet by him...

just to add to some i saw yesterday....

mike bell T-1st in first downs with AP.
sharper 3rd in pass deflections(huff has crazy stats so far)
sharper 1st in int yardage(given)

and my favorite....heath evans has more tds than Randy moss and Wes welker comined AND has a better YPC than welker.

I love Bell but think he needs to get a few less carries. Hopefully with Pierre back we can see them split the carries up a bit more. Very few RBs can last an entire season getting 20+ carries a game.
