I was watching NFL countdown on ESPN and there was a shot of Payton during the highlights taking his visor off during the game, smiling and nodding his head at the EAGLES. He then put his visor back on. Does he not care for Andy Reid? I thought that move was pretty brash for a coach during a game. Anybody else see this?

I saw it during the game and had to get a second look to see if he was doing it to Reid. It was right before the second half when we called time outs with 1:30 left on the clock and the Eagles had the ball then when we got the ball back scored in 2 plays.

back in 06, i remember him saying that the eagles is one team he has a lot of respect for. in fact, he wanted to model the saints after the eagles organization because they are a contender every year. so he has a lot of respect for reid and the organisation.

That is not at all what happened! I don't have any idea how you could've gotten that out of what you saw. A TD was scored, the camera panned to Payton, and he took his visor off and put it back on.

Never did it show him smiling. It was more like he was squinting his eyes. It also never showed him looking towards the Eagles team or nodding his head. From the camera angle, there was no way to tell what he was looking at.

You blew that 1 second shot so far out of proportion. I don't even know how you could gather all of that.

If he grinned any harder he would have blown out a cheek.

....What a fool believes he sees, no wise man has the power to reason away.

It's the proper thing to do before killing a man. Kids these days... no respect for the dead.

I couldn't watch the game. The ESPN guys showed it in slow motion and they said it was Payton doing it towards the Eagles. He sure was smiling and it looked like he was playing around. Just asking if anyone else saw it on NFL countdown.
