Anybody watching the Dolphins / Colts game? That's the only way to stop Brees. (1 Viewer)

Keep him on the sideline with the wildcat (the way it's supposed to be ran). The Fish don't scare me, but I'll more than concerned when the Saints play them.

Yea but our defense can stop the run. Saints have only allowed a 2.9 yard average.

I will be at that game in person

Same here. I'm makin my once a year Saints game trek from Socal to Miami, can't wait. Where you sittin?

When it comes time to play the phish, their fans are going to have their wildcat as their reason why they can stop Brees. If something worked on a team comparable to us it automatically means it will work on us they will infer :idunno:

I would be more worried about the Jets D, than Miami's Wildcat. The blitzes they run gave
Brady fits all day.

yea good against the run, but did you see us against the wildcat on sunday?
Not too good, but we have a few weeks to play them, we'll be ready.

The thing about the Jets is that we can score 20-24 points in a bad game. That is basically the point maximunm for their O. That will be the 1 game that I will say our D will need to be the game changer, not our O. Brees and SP will figure out their blitzes and we will have a few big plays. If our D stops the run and keeps Sanchez in check, 2-3 big plays rather than 6-7 should be enough to win, especially at home.

This
When we played the Ravens, Rex's blitz schemes got to and flustered Brees before too. They make me a little antsy, I can't lie.

And this. I think we will be well prepared for the Wildcat. We adjusted pretty well at halftime of the Eagles game (although I know Miami is the master at it).

The Colts D isn't good. And right now they don't look physical. The Fins run game is hitting them in the mouth. I'd drop those safeties and cut out that short passing game and running game. Make Pennington beat you down field with that noodle arm. If they score, at least you get your O back on the field instead of them having 10 minute drives.

I've said all along that if the Falcons wanted to beat the Saints they'll have to get Turner,Norwood and Snelling rollin. Combine with a little Play action to White or Tony G and keep Brees on the sidelines.

Payton isn't a good coach if he didn't learn from that embarrassing Ravens loss a couple years ago and come up with some ways to get around it. I'm worried too, but I think with a better running game, we are up to task.
