Not many radioheads talking about him (them) against the Saints, but they should be. Stafford had some success throwing against us, but Kolb almost threw for 400 with their WRs (especially Jackson) finding holes in our secondary. Respect to Fred Jackson, but we are more porous against the pass than the run. This should be the topic of discussion

T.O. is due a 100+ yard/2-3 TD game (granted that he holds on to the ball).

Bottom Line: Greer will have his hands FULL. The entire D-backfield will have to be ready, because Edwards can find his targets and Lee Evans can burn. Hell, it looked like Edwards underthrew Evans a couple of times due to his speed.

I'm worried about them, too. I'll put it this way: I don't forsee us getting many coverage sacks.

I'm not worried about Greer, every time I see him he's in perfect coverage or making a form tackle on a short route. Reminds me of Fred Thomas when Fred Thomas was very good, hopefully with better hands. I'm sure he'll eventually get beat, but he's been one of our best defensive players so far. I'm I'm more worried about Porter matched up on T.O., as he's not a great tackler and T.O. is not an easy tackle.

I'm not all that worried. I would almost rather see a shootout than a blowout. For the second half of both games our D was playing mostly prevent. I want to see the D play at least solid (which I understand isn't normally the case in a shootout). The defense needs to be given a chance sooner rather than later to close/finish out a game so they can get those monkey score/yards off their backs.

If Evans gets one deep I will b dissapointed. I can live with TO getting 10 catches 100+ yards and a TD. But Evans beating us deep would be a step back secondary-wise --- see desean Jackson.

Don't fogret, the one thing that made people get hyped about us signing greer was footage from Buffalo's game againt the cowboys last year, where Greer was man2 man and virtually shut him down all night.

Combine that with all sorts of useful insight given to speedier Porter to cover speedy Evans and we should be matched up quite well!!!

Its become apparent the only question mark is Harper... if he can stop blowing assignments we can increase the 3 and outs and keep the field small!

Not worried about T.O. We have always seemed to do ok against bigger, slower receivers. It's the Lee Evans' type that can give us lots of trouble.

Being said, however, Fred Jackson should be the main focal point. Stop him, we win.

All you need is 1 good CB to stop both of them, and you've got it in Greer. Lee Evans is given way too much respect nationally in the media. The reality is, he's only good for one thing, and that's going deep. Keep him from going deep with a safety over the top, and he's rendered useless. Owens is the one that can make plays all over the field. I'd put Jabari on him everywhere he goes. I'd put joe blow on Evans with a safety over the top. That should do it. It has so far this season.

No player or team is ever due for anything.

I am not worried about deep and outside, I can see a lot of man coverage, with Greer glued to Owens and Porter to Evans. The key for me is controlling the short, middle routes. Fred Jackson is a pleasant surprise and he will be requiring the attention of either a linebacker or Roman Harper.

I can see some openings for the tight end and for Reed in quick, well designed routes.

One interesting thing to see this week is how Williams and Vilma will make adjustements without substitutions. The no-huddle here is key to keep the defense honest. More then ever we will need to see pressure from Grant and Smith. McCray will have impact mostly during some drives, but not as a third down blitzer.

I also really hope that Ellis, Ayodele and Hargrove are in great shape, if not we can have a running nightmare in the second half.

If Joe Blow is on Evans, Evans will have a big day - period.

Jabari Greer stated last offseason that Lee Evans is uncoverable 1-on-1 (sry don't have a link, I just remember it).

Stafford had some success? On what, 2 passes to one of the best WRs in football? We held Detroit to under 250 yards so I fail to see where this success was.

Greer had no problem with TO last time. And Dallas was a better team than Buffalo currently is IMO.

I'm more worried about Porter matched up on T.O., as he's not a great tackler and T.O. is not an easy tackle.

Porter will most likely be on Evans. Speed against speed. Greer should be on TO.

As long as we keep winning the turnover battle it won't matter. Both of our first two games were blowouts so those passing stats are inflated because the Lions and Eagles were passing every down.

I think Gregg Williams still holds some aggression towards his time in Buffalo. He made his mistakes, but still feels like he was slighted by the fans. I think he pours his all into this gameplan, and has the motivational fires under his players set to inferno this week. It may become an issue, but it won't be for lack of trying on his part...
