There goes Bell for Bills it sounds like. McCray could be a problem if not available. Lance we can do without for one more game.

I'm just happy to see Pierre is not on that list. That is definitely not a bad list going into week 3. I fully expect Moore and McCray to play this weekend. Even if Bell doesn't play this weekend, which I don't expect him to, We have Pierre, Reggie and Lynell. Expect all 3 of them to be active.

I hate to see McCray miss time ... he's our best pure pass rusher. As I've said, it's time for Grant and Smith to step up their play this week.

our non-existent pass rush makes you nostalgic for the old days of the Saints getting atleast 4 sacks a game and heavy pressure.

Amen.

Howard, Johnson, Glover and Hand could bring the heat.

Will Smith does get some pressure..
Grant also would have had a sack on the play Roman Harper got his.. But he was about a second to late

Extended report just tweeted by Jeff Duncan:

Other injury updates: Kendrick Clancy (knee) didn't practice; Jo-Lonn Dunbar (ham), Charles Grant (ham) limited; D.Brees (lft shoulder) full

Per TP:

Six players did not participate in Wednesday’s practice: tailback Mike Bell (knee), receiver Lance Moore (hamstring), defensive end Bobby McCray (hamstring), defensive tackle Kendrick Clancy (knee), offensive tackle Jammal Brown (hip) and tight end Darnell Dinkins (foot).

Two players were limited in Wednesday’s practice – defensive end Charles Grant (hamstring) and linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar (hamstring).

Five players practiced fully – Brees, offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod (knee), tight end Jeremy Shockey (ankle), tailback Pierre Thomas (knee) and safety Roman Harper (hamstring).

Payton wouldn’t elaborate on whether or not Thomas appears healthy enough to fill in for Bell as the lead rusher in Sunday’s game.

Hope Clancy plays this week. The Bills will be feeding Fred Jackson a bunch, so we'll need as many big bodies along the D-line as we can get.

I know I could do a search and probably find it but I'm curious if anyone knows off hand what Clancy's knee injury is.

I would love to see them step up just as much as you and everyone else. But the truth is, after reading this post, I've come to realize I see, at the very least, 1 post identical to this every week. I'm coming to realize that it's just not going to happen.

We've, as fans, made every excuse in the book for these guys, but they still aren't producing at the level in which they are being paid.

Smith was injured last year lets continue to have a little faith that he is going to turn it around as this new defense develops. This is a new system and Grant should get stronger as the year goes on.

clancy being hurt is big. we need him healthy. our dt depth is thin as can be
