At least not according to this article. Pretty good breakdown of what the Bills need to do. Their focus is Red Zone defense and no turnovers.

Buffalo has ranked fourth in the NFL each of the last two seasons in preventing touchdowns once opponents get inside the 20.

In the first two games, Brees is 11 of 15 for 209 yards and two touchdowns on plays when the defense sent five or more rushers at him, according to ESPN. Brees is exceptional throwing on the move, especially to his right.

In Week One the Bills blitzed Tom Brady on 27 percent of pass plays. In Week Two they blitzed Byron Leftwich 63 percent. Don't expect the figure to be above 30 percent (or maybe even 20 percent) today.

the talk around town here is that the Bills are done already on D no matter what they do.
The hope here is that they play out of their minds on offense.

If the Bills blitz.... their toast and if they don't brees has all day to pick a target and even with this being the case look for the run more than expected....what we need is an improved pass rush to disrupt the Bills and keep the O on the field and the D rested.

Alot of people calling for the upset... even the "schwami" thinks the Bills will "circle the wagons".

Me... I don't hink the Bills have a snowball' chance in h*ll to win this game.

Saints 41
Bills 20

The lions opted not to blitz and that didn't work out, I think it can only be better for brees to have as much time as he wants.

I heard or read somewhere that most quaterbacks like to throw on the move to their right but brees likes going left:idunno:

right handed QBs can throw it better going right, and lefties throw better going left.. just think about it, or try it yourself, you'll see right away why that is.

if a righty is running left.. idealy, he'd want to stop and reposition his feet just before he throws.. like Brees did so perfectly on I believe the TD pass to Colston. (I forget which game, I've watched the first two games on tivo so many times, it's all a blur)

If they don't blitz its like a skeleton drill for Brees. It could get ugly for the Bills. If they blitz it could get uglier. The key to this game truly rests with not turning the ball over and the defense getting off the field. I look for Reggie to have a big game today.

The article says Carolina and Atlanta had success against our offense by getting physical with our receivers last year. The writer needs to go back and look at the second Carolina game and the second Atlanta game. Also, we have a running game this year and Colston and Shockey are healthy.

Actually, this has been part of a two-prong strategy that has slowed our offense in the past. Successfully jamming our receivers, combined with strong d-line pressure, has been the one formula that has worked best at disrupting Brees' timing and consequently created problems for our passing game. However, having a dependable running game can neutralize this strategy.

you are right, all right handed qbs like throwing on the run to their right but i heard during the tampa game last year that brees prefers going left for some reason :idunno:

If they blitz, Drew steps up and makes quick smart throws thus picking apart this defense. If they give him all day he scans the field at his leisure and with 3 downs to work with he will move the chains no problem. The only way they win this is if they put together long, methodical drives that end up in td's and hopefully for them keep their D fresh enough and our offense out of sync enough for them to get stops.
