Without checking, I am going to assume it was the infamous "Kyle Turley Guillotine Bowl" in the fall of 2002.

That one really hurt.

You are correct, except it was 2001. That was the season we had a shot at the playoffs, but lost our last four games, and our last three by almost 30 points each. Got to love the underachieving combo of Haz/Brooks.

Poor Turley, he really got thrown under the bus for that one. One of my all time favorite Saints, one of my all time favorite plays.

How about bringing Turley in to give us back some depth at the LT spot this week? At least we wont have to worry about anyone messing with Brees.

I'd love it. I could wear my jersey again. One problem, he likely has chronic traumatic encephalopathy and is considering suing the NFL due to his head trauma.

cant forget that moment,, was there in the dome for that game,, playoff hope flying with Brooks helmet.

Time for Pay back! lets knock'em the !@#$ out!

I was 10 when that happened and still remember it fondly. I loved it then, I love it now.

The winner on Sunday takes the lead in our all time series head to head. So far this season we're 2-0 when having that chance.

It was one of two games I ever attended in the dome and Turley cost us the game. Prior to that drive, our defense stopped the Jets twice on 3rd and inches and 4th and inches. What Turley did was inexcusable and the team went south from there.

You're half right. The helmet toss happened in '01 but it was '02 when we started 9-3 and lost our last 4 to miss the playoffs by half a game (the Falcons went 9-6-1 to beat us out).

Turley did NOT cost us that game! If we had more players like Turley that year we would have gone far....the dude almost broke a. brooks neck, turley was just coming to his aid.......no one else had the balls to get involved.
