So I was riding the back 40 yesterday, having a good time in the mud, when I came upon what looked like rocks strewn on the top of the hill. I thought it was pretty odd because the field I was in doesn't have much rocks. Mostly just topsoil over red clay. When I got out of the Rhino and looked closer I saw that the rocks were mostly shells. Just like the ones that I have seen at numerous beaches around the world. The only ones that were completely intact were small, all of the larger ones were broken.
I looked around some more and noticed a large rock peeking out from a washed out area. It was pretty soft as I used a smaller rock to break pieces off. Both rocks splintered sort of like flint, but they are the rong color to be flint.
Anybody know anything about this sort of stuff?
