Pat Yasinskas' ESPN NFC-South Blog today lists rising and falling stock in the division.

Here's the short version:

FALLING:
John Fox, coach, Panthers
Michael Turner, running back, Falcons
Byron Leftwich, quarterback, Buccaneers

RISING:
Gregg Williams, defensive coordinator, Saints
Pierre Thomas, running back, Saints
Jahri Evans, guard, Saints

In Yasinskas' words: "We’ll make it a sweep for the Saints because they were the only victorious NFC South team this week."

I would add the entire Defensive line to that list of risers.

Well, our defense was going up against mostly rookie and replacement players on their O-line, which isn't to minimize what they did, but I think it was EXPECTED they'd play pretty well against the Bills. The offensive line was blowing giant holes in the Bills defense even late in the game when everyone on the field KNEW we'd be running it. So I think, if I had to pick a stock riser, I'd go with PY's choices. Anyway, he DID single out 3G, right?

I also took the cautious approach on the Saints, but that’s mainly based on history. I picked the Saints to win the division last year and they underachieved. I think the Saints have way more talent and a better defense than last year, but I want to see all that in reality before going out on a limb this time.
