Commentary: Bills heading South, Saints heading North
September 29th, 2009

As the Saints arrived at Raph Wilson Stadium Sunday through a gauntlet of tail-gating Bills' supporters the team bus was greeted by a liquor bottle that was hurled from the crowd and shattered in its path and hundreds of fans holding a finger aloft, apparently to warn the Saints what the temperature will be there in about a month.

Jim Henderson is the best! Back in 8th grade, we had a class project where we each had to interview a local celebrity. I picked Jim Henderson. He took an hour out of his evening in a conference room at WWL-TV to take questions from a 13-year old. That was one of the coolest days of my childhood.

Thats amazing. He is truly one of my idols. Definitely the best at what he does.

Jim Henderson does great commentary, but his game calls are average at best. If you want to hear a great game announcer, google Larry Munson, when he called games for the Georgia Bulldogs(he since retired) and listen to his immortal calls. Once you've been to the mountaintop, anything else is an afterthought...and I'm an LSU fan!

Honestly, after listening to other play by play guys, including national media guys, I think Jim is the best I've heard. He is a master of the english language and a master of utilizing the excitement and tone of his vioce

Absolutely. The guy can hang with Michaels. I don't really care for the "in your face" super-emotional shouting types, but some folks really like that.

Best play by play guy I've ever heard is Rick Jeanneret granted different sport.
