When first we practice to deceive.

Just when you think the whole John Edwards affair had reached it's apex...out comes the lurid details of his relation with his right hand man. Not that kind of relation. But a lurid one nonetheless.

That is some "Single White Female" type stuff there.....

Butt boy!:hihi:
I was thinking the same thing.

Also, how in the world does a woman whose husband cheated on her while she is fighting terminal breast cancer, and has tragically lost a son, come across as such an unsympathetic character?

Edwards is a feminine hygiene product being with a D and ending with a G. Nothing new there.

Classic. Her book seems to blame this guy for her husband being a *******. He appears to have been a blind devotee to the senator, but I doubt he turned Edwards into the scum we now know him to be. And truthfully, while I find this guys worship of Edwards to be strange, I'm more disgusted by, as the article said, the ease with which the Edwardses used his services. Such entitlement. Sell that book, baby!

I never got the infatuation with Edwards. There was always something just plain creepy about the guy. He just always struck me as a slimeball. And I've thought that ever since the first time I saw him speak - I had no reason to think that. It was just an impression I got from him.

And in succeeding years, I simply never saw a reason to think that initial impression was wrong.

I read a blurb in the article that suggested Young may have an even more damning card to throw at John Edwards: A sexually explicit videotape of Edwards and his mistress, one that only two people have claimed to see, but others theorize that it probably exists. If that ever comes out or gets out via Tommy Lee/Pamela Anderson private sex tape, the **** will hit the fan and by no means is it ever coming down.

I don't think, as Bulldawg suggested, that we seen the highest peak of this torrid tale. God only knows we may see more come out then we'd care or want to know.

This is probably almost pedestrian stuff in DC.

Really, never idolize politicians because 90% of them are phonies. Yet the adoring masses line up to do as they're told.

And now more than ever before. With God out of the picture, people need something (someone) to believe in. A gifted orator fills this niche nicely. Unfortunately when the people learn that theyve been decieved, and used only to build a bridge between the politician and his ultimate and selfish goal of power, they often become disenfranchised and refuse to participate further in the political process, which in my opinion is a detriment not only to democracy but to the civilized social order it promotes.
