That's flat-out amazing. I would be in awe if I saw it in person

It looks really beautiful. I can't believe that color is natural! Nevertheless, spiders are still creepy!

Also, what does PETA have to say about this?

That is quite awesome. Silk is the coolest stuff ever. I know there is a guy trying to produce it in mass quantities by splicing silk genes into sheep. His sheep now produce a small amount of silk in their milk.

Our new house is overrun with them. Ive probably killed 30 or 40 since moving in. Ive had half a dozen spiders within an inch of my body the past few weeks. You name it, its happened. Hanging from a strand in the middle of the hallway. And inch from my eyeball in a doorframe. Crawling on us in bed.

Oh, and the huge one in the middle of the floor I almost stepped on. I sprayed it, it sat there for several minutes, then righted itself and began to crawl away. I began to admire it then. I still smacked it with styrofoam and flushed it though.

Ugh, arachnid nightmare :(

Really awesome animal, ancient, complex beast. Soooo creepy though.

Just flushed two more huge ones. What the heck. I never thought Id see the day when Id long for the good old days of huge new orleans roaches. I guess they moved in and had a party the 6 months this place wasnt lived in.

They must have found a food source.

Well, this is a pre colonial town. This house is probably 90 years old, and we live about 100 yards from the house of a general of the revolutionary war. I told my SO that there was a guy/monster living in the attic, that sneaks out sometimes. He also has a room below the house. The Directv guy said he could stand up down there, there are 3 brick walls and probably 6 feet of space directly under the floor. Maybe theyre his pets.

Amazing tapestry, but I could never be a spider wrangler. One dropped on me from the headliner in my van the other day and I screamed like a girl. I'm 6'4 but a surprise spider attack makes me a big sissy.
