Lines on my moniter (1 Viewer)

I have a Toshiba laptop and colored lines keep appearing on my screen. There's six blue, yellow, and purple lines already and another yellow one keeps flashing on and off as I type. Anyone know what's going on?

Your video card is overheating. Could be from bad fan or the card could just be failing so your normal operating tempature is enough to cause problems now.
If you can, try another video card and see the problem disappear, hopefully you have an old video card laying around you can test with.
There is a very small chance its the monitor but 9 times out of 10 its the video card.

Plug an external monitor into it. That will at least tell you if it is the display or not.

Crap, I missed the part about it being a laptop, so change "video card" to your onboard video chip, and since you cant swap that out for a new one, do like eaux-yeah said and plug you laptop into an external monitor. If its still the same, the only fix is a new motherboard for your laptop, which means you need to buy a new laptop.
Though since this is a laptop monitor the odds of it being an problem with the screen are greater. Hopefully this is the problem, you can replace the laptop screen for around $100.
