Please let the investigation begin. That appeared to be so staged and phoney. All of sudden the interviewer is defending himself. I have to admit when the interviewer had to proclaim he cared about Dez Bryant's mother I turned the volume down.

Roger Goodell please investigate Deion Sanders.

Roger Goodell please investigate Deion Sanders.

Obviously Goodell probably was in favor of Deion Sanders addressing this on a public forum and explaining himself, or else they wouldn't have addressed it at all on NFLN (the NFL's TV channel) in this fashion. Nothing will be investigated, because there was nothing illegal that went on. Goodell wants it to disappear if anything.

Even if NFL was to fire Deion, how would that affect his ability to "sponsor" recruits the way he has been?

Roger Goddell please investigate Deon Sanders.

I'm sure they're investigating it - the 49ers tampering charge gives them a pretext and the Dez Bryant suspension calls more attention to the issue.

But what if Deion is telling the truth? What if he simply mentors these guys for support in life and not just football - and there is no financial benefit from the players or the agent, Eugene Parker? Deion would be risking his job and affiliation with the league if he were to be involved financially in these activities. A lot of these young players lack a mature, proper influence in their lives (that understands what they're going through) and, if he truly isn't doing anything wrong, what Deion is doing could actually be a very positive thing.

I'm not saying Deion didn't do anything. I'm just saying that this is serious business and nobody should rush to judgment without evidence.

Smooth talker, but equally slimy.

Notice his focus on African-American players.... no mention of the Hispanic, or Asian, or White players on the field. I wonder if he made good friends with Colby Bockwoldt, or Kevin Walter of the Texans, or Chris Reis or Jim Leonhardt? These are low level guys that fill rosters - who happen to be white.

All credit to him if he really is as charitable as he says. I have my doubts.

He also sounds like my ex-wife. "There was always a problem when I played, and there's a problem now." I guess its everyone else's problem, right Deion? You don't see the common denominator here?

Moron.

.

He can "sponsor" whoever he wants to sponsor. I don't see why race is an issue.

It's strange to call Deion a proper influence. :hihi:

Deion Sanders = Footballs Al Sharpton. No one wants him around, he just keeps showing up. The NFL could form some type of committee that does outreach work completely devoid of any type of NCAA infraction, instead of letting these morons appoint themselves as the go to guys in these situations like Deion and Michael Irvin. What about Jerry Rice, Barry Sanders, etc? You dont have to be a criminal to be a mentor.

Truth is that we will not know how deep is the relation between Sanders, Parker and the players, but certanily is suspect and controversial.

The fact is that an NFL employee is now the centre of a couple of controversies regarding player's management. Goddell can't be happy with that.

I am sure that at the end of the year the league will evaluate is it really worth to keep Deion, or is it is easier to substitute him with another controversial voice, but with lesser weight.

Time will tell...

Is there any proof from NCAA, NFL, or has a kid come forward with proof that Deion has broken any laws regarding these football players?

They're really more "rules" than "laws" - but I haven't seen any evidence yet that there were any violations.

also props to the guy that replaced adam. those were the exact type questions a interviewer should ask, straight forward and to the point. he wasn't throwing curves or softballs to Deion. more interviewers should follow his lead.
