A Personal Message from Drew Brees

Saints Fans,

I am honored to be the first football player to be featured in a Warner Bros. animated fine art lithograph and cel. This limited edition, called Catch Dat Brees, features the famous Looney Tunes characters commemorating our memorable 5,000 yards plus passing season. Notice that Bugs Bunny is wearing Billy Miller's number since it was Billy that caught the pass that put us over 5,000 yards. This could not have been accomplished without my teammates, coaches, fans, and of course, the great city of New Orleans.
Join me and my new Looney Tunes friends as we raise funds for the Brees Dream Foundation to support our ongoing efforts in Louisiana.

I just received the same e-mail. I foward it to my wife and told her that it would be a great Christmas gift if we knew someone that would appreciate it. I hope she knows I was talking about myself.

Bet it is. It looks like it's called the "Acme Dome" as a generic for the series. If you recall, all of the Coyote's products were Acme (Acme dynamite, acme anvils, etc). It doesn't look like they're referencing the Oyster House in the picture. I think it's just dumb luck for the oyster house.

I don't know why this jumped out at me like it did... but this guy really is all about the TEAM.

Well, it's like the mug you get for donating to NPR or PBS. Actually, if you are the kind of person that has a CPA you'd do the Material Value calculation to deduct the donation part.

While I love the cause, the thing I hate is when the word personal gets used like this. It's a charitable message, but it is a pledgy/advertisey thing. I'm not as conservative as my parents who went ballistic when telemarketers etc use first names, but personal is not business.

Not sure what you meant by "use personal names"? This is Drew's personal non profit foundation doing this.
