Saints are 11.5 point favorites Monday Night (1 Viewer)

I'm actually very surprised that the line keeps moving up. I thought it would top out at 10.5. Vegas is going to make a killing if the Falcons cover.

i think it should b higher. we on average win by 14 so its not an attractive bet at the moment

Line keeps moving up means everyone is betting the Saints. I always fear there is a small chance gamblers can get to referees.

Let's hope Jeff Triplette and his crew call a fair game.

They had to inch it higher and higher. The smart money is on the Saints. They want it from both sides.

Sorry, I think that's way high. I'd take the points in a division game.

Nope..

Monday night football with a crazy superdome against our arch-rivals? This will be the loudest Saints game we have seen in years. Expect the loud noise to even exceed a playoff atmosphere due to the Monday night football element combined with playing the Falcons.

Greg Williams's defense will feast on this and this game could get really ugly very fast. I'm not going to see a Saints game this monday, I am going to see a massacre. A massacre I will really enjoy.

The Falcons are averaging 24.0 points a game and the Saints are averaging 39.7 points per game.

That is a 15.7 point per game difference. I'd say that the point spread is too low.

Loudest since the reopening, perhaps. I watched the Eagles playoff from a bar, so I couldn't really gauge the sound.

I don't think anything will surpass the reopening til the NFCCG. This one will be close, but even with a 6-0 record and the hated Falcons coming in, I don't see it any louder.

We'll still crush the Falcons, though.

Yeah, I was at that game. The re-opening of the dome after Katrina wasn't just a football game, and the noise factor proved it. It was louder than any football game ever..There is no way the Saints lose that game to anyone.

That being said, I expect this game to come pretty darn close in excitment. The timing of this Falcon game combined with the placement of it on Monday night will equate to a totally obscene decibel level.

We finally have a good defense which means the dome field advantage is in full force once again. I know this much, I won't be able to talk at all on Tuesday morning.

I think I have to disagree with you here, bro. This, in essence, is for the Divisional Crown when we win. Because after that point, if the Falcons went 6-3 for the remainder of the year, we'd have to go 3-6 against the likes of St. Louis, Washington, Tampa twice, Carolina twice, Dallas, New England and Atlanta again, JUST FOR THEM TO TIE US.

This game will have a playoff feel to it and it will be loud like a PLAYOFF GAME!!

Buhlee Dat!!

FWIW, I predicted the outcome of this game to be somewhere around 42-20 Saints. But, an 11.5 point spread against a division rival with the talent of ATL.?

If we don't get any defensive TD's or ST's TD's, I would bet my mortgage we don't cover that spread. I want us to win by 100, but some of us are getting a little too comfortable with us winning by double digits.

I think the Falclowns D is to weak to stop us. I think our D stops them enough times to make this more than 11.5 point spread. I think we get 1 or 2 INTs out of it as well.
49 -17 Saints.

Divisional games typically are closer and more prone to upsets than non-divisional games. Not saying we won't win by 14+ but division games are viewed differently from non-division games.
