I don't know about the rest of you but this Monday Night I may forego turning up my Field Pass audio, which I usually run through my stereo during games, this Monday Night.

I REALLY want to hear what Coach Jon Gruden says about out SAINTS and Coach Payton and his analysis of the entire game. His relationship with Coach Payton is well known and his visit to out Training Facility was well publicized so I expect, at least him, to shed some real light on what has propelled Our SAINTS to this very strong first six games ans how they approach this first Division Game of ours.

The situation of it being our first Division game and allowing us to go up by THREE GAMES this early makes it a game where we might feel overconfident but the circumstances of it make it too critical for a let down of any kind! For that , I'm gratefull! There will be let down, no loss of focus and it will be in a homecoming game after the "gut-check" game in Miami, so our FANS KNOW and APPRECIATE just how significant that performance was! That appreciation will come raining down upon our players and TEAM with each and every play! I would be surprised if anyone sat down during any point in this game except for HalfTime but this HalfTime show salutes our Armed Forces so the fans may stay on their feet for that!

Coach Gruden will tell it like it is and how he sees it and will lavish us with accolades where we deserve it and be brutally honest if we let his expectations down! While there are some here who may talk about "walk over games" or games we "should" win, EVERY game is important and it's a one game at at time season where, the more we succeed, the more these other teams will look to take Drew's head off , or disrupt and get physical with our WR's so IMHO, we crush them with Mike Bell , Peirre Thomas and make them look silly in pursuit of Reggie and I yearn to hear Coach Gruden break it all down as a fan of Coach Payton and as one who appreciates the effort OUR TEAM has put in to achieve this success AND, one last thing, GIVE DREW BREES HIS CREDIT!! Coach Gruden will not suck up to Romo or Ryan or McNabb or Brady or even Peyton but he WILL give "6 ft. nuth'in", coming off of what could have been a career ending injury to rise to GREATNESS, DREW BREES, HIS CREDIT for not only being an NFL GREAT of the Montana kind but as a very gifted athlete!

Am I laying it on too strong? Sue Me! Coach Gruden, call it like you see it sir! I am so waiting for Monday Night! GEAUX SAINTS GEAUX!!!!!!!!!

Good Post! Really agree w/ you on Gruden. Looking forward to his commentary on Monday night.

Gruden really has improved MNF, no matter what he says. He is a big improvement over cornheiser.

He's got a lot of respect for the Saints. Should be fun.

And he definitely knows what a rivalry this is.

Gruden tried to visit all the teams that is scheduled for MNF during training camp, just his way of getting prepared for the season and having first hand knowledge. He do have a past coaching relationship with Payton from early in their careers.

Gruden actually knows what he's talking about. It's refreshing after having to listen to theses numbnuts on NFL network and Fox. I feel dumb after to listening to their "analysis".

Chuckie's great on MNF but, let's be honest, just about anyone on this forum would be an improvement over Kornholer

So true. Anyone would be better than Kornholio. The problem is that I think Gruden may go back to coaching after this year and then we get another idiot announcing MNF again. This one year having Gruden has been refreshing.

ESPN are you listening?

Love me some Jon Gruden! He oozes intensity and passion and he is not shy. He calls it like he sees it. I have to be honest and say I really did not like him when he took over Tampa Bay after they screwed over Tony Dungy, nor did I care for him when he coached the Raiders. But he has changed my mind and I have come to respect him as a commentator and analyst, which makes me respect him as a coach.

You Sir, are a Genius and I appreciate you recognizing this insightfully posted thread!

We're ALL going to be singing and dancing and really whoooping it up prior to, during and I'm full of hope, AFTER this game. This game could prove to be a gigantic WIN for US should we pull it off. It would mean we are THREE games ahead of ATL! I say that knowing on most any given Thursaday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday, any NFL Team can knock another off whether it's their throne, off the schnide or just beat them at their own game.

I'm praying THE SAINTS prevail in with Dome Field advantage, and WIN this huge Monday Night Match-up, forget the Vegas lines, that's just about getting the suckers money from them and think about the player match-ups. We've gotten into substantial trouble on our left side Offensively! This new FB is an UNKNOWN quantity for most of us. I know he was a HOSS @ Navy but hey, that was Navy! He did protect the ball and bull over some kids but again, that was at Navy! Let's hope he gets inspired by the cards he has been dealt and does his part on Sp. Teams and in our Offensive Backfield to help protect Drew and make some plays when his number is called! He's got some huge shoes to fill but hey, I was leary of Evans coming in for one of my all time favs, Mike Karney! Let's all hope for the best as our Defense has an outstanding Night against this Atl. "O" as well!
!!!!!!!!!! GEAUX SAINTS GEAUX !!!!!!!!!

Gruden is the best commentator they have had on MNF for a long time.
