We're preparing seriously against the Ravens.....he said that the members of the OL LIKE EACH OTHER, AND GET ALONG VERY WELL....GIVING UP ONLY 6 SACKS...on Brees, he's such a smart player, is part of coach Payton's play calling....it's been a blessing playing for the Saints....and it was time for him to part with the Browns....feels very comfortable with his new team!

About the Ravens....a defensive team stocked with Pro Bowlers...very good team, and they have to block each one of them, which might get confusing....and is very hard to run on them, Deuce will have his work cut out for him....but if they get everybody involved, they can run on them!

Surprised that all of this came together that fast....he didn't expected it!...BUT THE GOAL IS MAKING THE PLAYOFFS, AND WIN IN THE PLAYOFFS!

Coach Payton is a great coach, has the right plan, and expects us to follow that plan...players BELIEVE IN THAT PLAN!

in a nutshell, that was the Jeff Faine on Sirius a few minutes ago!!

The way our offensive line is playing may be the main catalyst to this years success so far. How good would Drew be without the protection. Same goes for the holes for Deuce.

Great recap Birdog! Jeff Faine has been the anchor of the o-line. The guy has been amazing, what a deal dropping down a few picks and getting a 1st round talent like him.

what a great pickup that guy was, huge sigh of relief that we missed Bentley's injury and ended up with a terrific center in the deal

The weird thing about that was...back when Faine was drafted I was hoping we could pick him up and move Bentley back to GUARD where he belonged. I guess the football gods work in mysterious ways.

Great insight from a great addition to our team. In my mind, him and H. Thomas are the main reasons why the saints had the best draft of any team this year.

Having played in Cleveland, I am sure that he is very familiar with the Ravens and is probably giving the O-lineman some valuable info.

Thank you for the re-cap!

That's an interesting point. He is the one making the line calls each play.
Playing against Pitt and Baltimore x2/year as well as practising vs his own Cleveland D has probably made him pretty proficient in knowing the ins and outs of the 3-4. :9:
