I live in Dallas. I have some people on my office who are actually looking forward to the Saints smacking the Cowboys down. They're tired of the drama and management around the Cowboys, and they want to see Payton roll over his mentor Parcells. Very strange words to hear.

Some of them are talking that they wanted Payton to replace Parcells.

No, I am ALL Saints. I grew up in NOLA. I'm just talking about folks I work with. I don't get it either.

why would payton want to work for jerry jones? He is the king of friggin New Orleans.

Payton turned down a job with the Raiders because he didn't want to work for Al Davis. Working for Jerry Jones wouldn't be any better. I doubt he would have taken the Cowboys job.

I have wanted the Saints to lose before. Last year when it was clear we were out of playoff contention i was afraid that we may have pulled off 4 wins in a row or something and somehow keep around Brooks and Haslett while dropping us closer to the middle of the draft.

Was it wrong for me to want us to lose to insure Haslett and Brooks were done and we were higher in the draft, since we were out of playoff talk anyway?

I have to admit I was also guilty of wanting our beloved SAINTS to lose for the same reasons. I will live with the guilt consdering the out come.

Shrike3000, in my opinion it is wrong. Its like voting Democrat just because you want to see them fail and lose in 2 years. I think you wish for a win every week, and let the chips fall as they may. The fact of the matter is, nothing you wished could have prevented Haslett and Brooksy from leaving.

Well last season if we had finished 8-8 we might still be here crying about Haslett and Brooks, so I can live with myself wanting us to finish badly.

That was the first time I had ever hoped for my Saints to lose...

Im with you...the greatest play of the season last year was the 4th down pass by Detroit in the 2nd to last game of the season...Joey Harrington to Roy Williams that leads to Hansons FG at the gun...we win that game, we dont draft #2...you know the rest.

Cowboys or Saints

I have mention in the pass that the Cowboys are my #1 team, and Saints a very close second. I will be cheering for both. So who ever wins this one mean I still won!

You are messing with "karma and higher spirits" that you can not control. I see where you guys are coming from but I ALWAYS want the team to win.
