During Payton's tenure here in Dallas-after every loss, Payton was the FIRST to get stones thrown at(by pretty much everyone) for poor game planning and worse play calling.

However-reality was that he was handcuffed most of the time by Parcells' conservative approach. When Tuna let the offense open up, Payton's playbook was utilized quite a bit-and it was also Payton who lead Tuna to their current stud QB-Tony Romo-a couple of years back.

And for the most part too-Parcells' old school style of play isn't getting response from the players anymore(they're playing scared more times than not), and he doesn't have his longtime trusted assistants like Bill B and Coughlin anymore. It's no surprise to see Fujita and Shanle playing very well this season(it wasn't so much them for the poor play last year, it was largely Mike Zimmer's vanilla schemes that was affecting their play).

Just wanted to drop by giving big props to Payton for the coaching job he's done in The Big Easy this year. The way he's also been utilizing talent has also been very impressive.

Sean has a bit more autonomy here in NOLA, but it helps that the owner has been uninvolved most of the time.

He sorta reminds you of a Billichek or Walsh, doesn't he?

Yeah, for real. If you ask me, Parcells gets a pass for this year. Everybody on the planet knows that Jones was the one that delivered T.O. into the Tuna's locker room. I feel bad for the guy (Parcells, not T.O.), and hope he feels proud of what his understudy has accomplished in New Orleans.

We still owe 'em for the preseason game,
b

Excellent, maybe he will remember how the Cowboys fans treated him when Jones asks him back.
