I am so sick of reading all this crap about our team and conspiracy theories about Bush and how Texans passed so he could come here and "save" our franchise. Or how Brees fails a physical with the Dolphins so they passed him up to us to help us out. These theories piss me off when I hear about the only reason we are winning is because everyone feels sorry for us and how they set it up to be this "cinderella story". Why can't people accept the fact this is a good team? It just makes me mad that if we make any noise in the playoffs if we make it or even the superbowl if we manage that, that no one would be suprised because thats how the NFL wants it.

It just feels to me that if we did anything no one will still give us any credit because the NFL set it up that way and the only meaning it would have would be to the fans. These comments like "I will stop watching football if the Saints win" or " I am going to watch another sport if they win because then I know the NFL is scripted" irritate me to no end. I know our team is good but if we win or do anything alot of people would not agree except for the fans. /rant

most of those have disappeared. Where are you going to hear all of that these days?

Where are you hearing/reading these things? I haven't hear anything like that since the Falcons game...

The only thing i would say that made me scratch my head

about being a conspiracy

was that last Superbowl we had

the refs were clearly on the Steelers side

Old stuff, apparently you held this anger in since the beginning of the season and can't let go lol, people stopped spewing this type of New Hybrid Trash talking months ago after they realized we are the real deal.

Most fan-bases have already Took a Kneel to us just being a smart franchise taking the right players at the right time and being a strong force in this league,
Enjoy the ride and let go all these old Trash talking tactics.

Payton is a member of the Illuminati, and had the Texan's pass on Bush. Everybody knows that.

Its not that everyone is saying it but I hear some people or read some peoples posts every once in a while and someone has to go and make up some crap. It just gets under my skin.

Just remember: The year that the Rams won the SB, very few "experts" respected them at the half way point of the season, let alone saw them as a SB contender that year...

Same is true of the Pats the first year they won, or the year Jake led the Panthers to the SB (even though they lost a close one).

My point is simply this: It doesn't matter what the pundits or media say or think about our fast start, or how we did it.

We see, read, and hear what's going on with this new Saint organization everyday, and their success should no longer surprise us - Please us, yes... Surprise us, no.

I was listening to a sports talk show this evening, and one of the more prevelant Vegas handicappers was on.

He said that it's been extremely difficult for them to accurately handicap the Saints this year because they're realizing now that the "Culture" of this team is different from other Saints organizations in the past that have won.

He said that trying to use historical data from other winning Saints teams to try and handicap this team was flawed because the "culture" (there's that word again) was just so different from this Saints group - from the coaches on down thru the players.

That's an honest and telling statement from someone who could care less about our feel good story.

I understood what he meant because I've come to realize the same thing: If you try to compare this Saints Organization to any other, you will simply be sending yourself through alot of unnecessary grief.

From the coaches, to the quarterback, to the new players, as well as the players from last year who are still with us - It's just a different culture now.

Let me give you just one example.

Last week, when it became apparent to the coaching staff that Gruden didn't think we could beat him with the pass (since Joe was out), they stacked the box to take away our run, and make us beat them with our passing game.

Knowing that our receivers matched up well against their DBs (even without Joe), Coach Payton took what Gruden gave him and beat him at his own game. He said as much earlier this week.

You know as well as I do that had this been Mora or Haz, the results would have been different because both would have never adjusted.

That's a part of that new "culture."

The players have bought into it hook, line, and sinker because they see the results. They could care less what the pundits say about them.

The media, or so-called experts won't have to give us credit for anything - We'll earn it, just like the Pats did.

Must have been a hell of a conspiracy to get Colston to fall to the seventh round!

As MichaelDavid Smith wrote in the New York Sun...

"The upside-down standings make the NFC South the most surprising division at the halfway point of the NFL season."

The "upside-down standings" clearly implies that the Saints should be on the bottom. How dare he, or anyone for that matter, write that as an observation. Every team gets their shot at the top of their division. Some make it more than others, but every team starts the season 0-0.

And he's a New Orleans native - Family still lived there before Katrina - You think he'd know better, huh?:cussing:

Why do you let such comments bother you? There will always sour grapes growing. You can't get rid of them all. Just laugh at their ignorance/jealousy/malcontent and enjoy the season as it keeps on the surprising progress.

Honestly, I'm glad we're not getting a lot of respect. Once teams hear from the media how good they are, they usually start playing worse. If they feel disrespected, they play hungry every week.

Also, the Saints have been in this position before. It's not how you start the season, it's how you finish it. They need to make everyone respect them, and that is by winning this division and getting home field for the playoffs.

Had no idea he was a New Orleans native.

Colston Jersey will be my next Investment!

Yep, his family lived on McKenzie, right off of Haynes Blvd., in New Orleans East - Near Castnet Seafood.

His grandparents lived on Bancroft, near City Park and Bayou St. John.

Small world, huh?

Next time you catch him on ESPN, listen for that N'Awlins twang in his voice. He's still got it. LOL :3d-trum:
