DirecTV to add NFL Network in HD ch 93 By Thanksgiving. (1 Viewer)

Dish Network has the NFL Network in HD but DirecTV doesn't. The link below from DirecTV's NFL Sunday Ticket website doesn't say if this is a permanent addition but at least the games will broadcast in HD on Ch 93 . I haven't been able to find a link if this is a permanent addition. Just watching highlight shows on NFL Network sucks if it isn't in HD.

This is great news.

I am going to have a bunch of football fans at the house on Thanksgiving and I was hoping that the games would be in HD.

Its about time they add something. What other games are going to be shown on NFL Network and are they all going to be in HD.

Is it just me or does the games shown on the local channels just bad. My picture just sucks on the locals channels for football. I was going to switch to cable because of the HD problems with directv but charter does not have DVR service is my location(bastages) It drives me crazy that I have all this money put in my TV and I can't watch football games in HD (AHHHHHHHHHHH) worst game so was the LSU game on CBS last week. Fox isn't near as bad as CBS.

Very cool. Back during pre-season, DTV also showed many of those games in HD on Ch. 95. I hope this is not just for their games & includes their regular programming, although that is better than nothing.

I have the same problem with the local channels on Directv and got the OTA-HD antenna and now it blows the directv HD out the water. The picture I got from the MNF games on ABC last year were the bomb. Fox doesn't offer HD in this area and they don't let you get any of the other affiliates. I couldn't even watch the Super Bowl in HD.

DishNetwork NFLHD, ESPNHD and OTA HD antenna get me all the Saints games in HD (SO FAR). The only thing DirecTV has is high prices.
