I'm thinking of getting a HD TV for my bedroom. Mostly to look at some Netflix stuff and regular HD TV, but I may end up getting another 360 for the room at some point. I'm looking at the following TVs from New Egg. Any opinions:

Toshiba 32" 720p LCD HDTV 32C100U for $308

Toshiba 37" 1080p LCD TV 37E200U for $495

Vizio 37" 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV E370VA for $509

I actually tend to like the Plasma pictures better, but I want something lighter since I might hang it on the wall and even if not, it will be on top of a chest of draws.

Oh, I'm particularly interested in sound quality since I will not be hooking up surround sound and will go with the TV sound.

Just bought another TV today. A Vizio 42" LED for my bedroom. Just starting up my xbox in 1080p I could tell the color saturation and contrast were completely amazing. Better than anything else in my house. It p****es me off as it's not my main viewing television but it's the prettiest girl at the ball. I don't care about your problem though. You buy plasmas and play Halo. I can't help you.

Why can't you be more like your cousin and less like you?

If I were more like Mongoose I'd stay up too late playing 360, sleep to late and not start working till noon, only buy shatty Land Rovers, never leave the house for social functions and only drink moderately. What kind of life does that sound like to you?

Granted he'll outlive me by decades but my life will have been fuller with more "I woke up nude in a _______ with a ______ sticking out of my _____" stories.

Isn't that pretty much so your life now except you don't play video games and you wake up with a hangover and a sore *******?

I guess this is what you get when you mess with Sasquatch. :jpshakehead:

I'm in the mood to like you today so I will answer your question. The Toshiba model line you are looking at has a notorious issue with "speaker rattle" when the volume is turned up too loud (right speaker only). It offers a stellar picture though. Toshiba may have fixed the problem by now (has been 6 months). Whatever model you go with, go Squaretrade for the warranty and use the coupon code "JINGLE" for 40% off of the warranty. There. Friends?

Next to Westinghouse and I believe, Fisher-Price, that's the most returned brand of television according to Consumer Reports.

It's probably just coincidence that "Hitachi" means "buyers remorse" in Japanese.

AVS forums tells me otherwise.
