Manning folding against the Chargers again (1 Viewer)

Colts are now tied with the Jags at 6-5 for first in the AFC south.

Now I have to listen to Dungy make excuses.

4 interceptions tonight. Manning didnt really get help from his WRs or Running backs, 3 dropped passes by reggie wayne, brown couldn't go anywhere because he ran with his back against people. His OL was awful.

He threw some bad balls but, he didn't get much help tonight. There were a lot of crucial drops for big yardage tonight and no running game.

Gregg williams exposed their offense in the superbowl imo. The colts have not been the same for much of this year. You could plug any WR into the colts offense and peyton makes them a better player as proven by colle and garcon.

Well, it helps when the refs allow the other team to hold recievers and use your lineman's head to push into the QB. SD probably still wins, but the refs made it a laffer.

Pretty much what happened to Brees in the Cleveland game, happened to Peyton tonight. Team falls behind, no threat of a run game, forced to throw into a hungry pass rush, receivers backs make mistakes in route running/handling the ball.. and it becomes that kind of game.

SD's always been difficult for Manning, i.e Brees in 2005 ending their undefeated season, beating them in the playoffs consecutive years(07, 08). Unlike 4-5 years ago, Colts offense doesn't have Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Clark, re-writing record books. Their still good, but nowhere near the talent level and Peyton's struggling to adjust to a more run-based offense with a veteran O-line whose best days likely behind it.

It'll be interesting what kind of success the Colts have if they can't raise the quality of talent or if they become like Favre's Packers 10 years ago, one and done, losing close 2nd-round playoff games. IMO, I'd go with the latter happening

But I thought he was the greatest QB ever? C'mon this thread must be a joke, Peyton doesn't ever lose games all by himself. At least not in the regular season.

It also doesn't help that they are without most of their best players (Addai, Clark, Sanders, Sessions, Gonzalez, etc). IMO, Manning is not the same without Dallas Clark.

No doubt, they got his with an injury epidemic!! They are literally trying to play regular season games with preseason players.

A lot has been said about the "Manning Face", and I've seen it during games. I now realize after last night's game why Manning irritates me so much. It's that darned Manning Face. When things don't go his way, it's like he can't help but start crying. He looks like a toddler who just got smacked on the butt for sticking cheerios in the VCR for the 100th time.

I'm not disputing Manning's talent, and I know he's dealing w/ a lot of injuries to his team, but, c'mon, man, let's deal w/ the disappointment in a bit more manly of a manner, huh?
