What do you think, guys? We had 3 last year, I'm going with 2 this year.

I say 2, but I'm not sure who. Haven't payed much attention to them this year, and I feel bad for it. Is Goodwin doing well?

I think all the linemen, with the exception of Stinchcomb, have played well but just not nearly as well as last year. I've noticed that Stinchcomb has been abused on several plays nearly every game and has consistently been called for false starts and holding.

If anyone should go, it should be Nicks. He's been flat out dominant this year.

Nicks and Evans should clearly be probowlers but, this idiotic voting is ridiculous. 90% of fans don't know **** about Oline men which is why Hutch is the number 1 vote getter they just vote for who's name they know the most. I mean our Guards are the top 2 in the league them not making it would be a complete joke.

I don't agree with this at all. He wasn't very good in the early part of the season, and even now I'm not sure he's playing as well as he did last year. He is frequently confused on stunts and blitz pickups, and has allowed a lot of pressure on Brees.

IMO, none of the Saints linemen should go to the Pro Bowl.

I think Bushrod has played above average, and I think both Nicks and Goodwin have been great. I honestly think that Evans won't make the pro bowl, partly because we grow to expect dominance and he's struggled a few times. I honestly think Nicks will make it, maybe Goodwin/Bushrod, just depends on the popularity contest.

I'm probably as big of a Carl Nicks fan as you'll find, and he simply hasn't played as well this year as he did last year. Off the top of my head I can think of a couple of plays against the Cowboys where he completely botched some blitz pick-ups. And that's been his M.O. this year--still strong at the point of attack, but teams defeat him with stunts and delayed blitzes. Even against the run, you just don't line up anyone across from him, and he sometimes loses leverage.

Evans isn't playing as well as he did last year either.

I'm just not sure what people are seeing on the field. I might have to say that Bushrod and Goodwin have been the most consistent players on the line.

the stunts are confusing our whole line....not just nicks

evans is playing at the same level he was playing at last year, hes just being called for more holdin penalties because the refs have a different view of the plays this year

stinch takes a lot of heat but most of the sacks that people think are his fault are really coverage sacks.......i have seen him just get flat out beat though

goodwin doesnt have very many assignments this season. he isnt pulling as much....passing so much makes it a little easier on him too....what im not seeing as much of is him moving up to the LBs or pulling on screens as much as he was last season

as for the OP.....nicks should go.....jahri should go....stinch should go........goodwin and bushrod should not IMO

Nicks and/or Evans will probably make it based on reputation alone for being a great guard duo. But every one of our o-lineman (especially Evans and Stinchcomb) have struggled this season.

I will say this, let's wait and see how this unit plays down the stretch before we pick which guy will go to Hawaii.

I agree with all of this, except the part about Evans. I don't think he's playing at the same level--he's gotten pushed back even on a lot of running plays this year. I'm not saying he's bad of course, just that I don't see the same level of play.

And I totally agree about the stunts, though I see Nicks as probably the most egregious offender. He's still a young player though, and it's easy to forget that.

IMO none of them should go. Not because they are playing that poorly--just to my eye they aren't the cream of the crop this year.
