do any of you out there collect stuff?
What do you collect?
How did you get started collecting that which you collect?
Does it aggravate or make angry anyone that you collect something?
If you ever "finish" your collection will you stop or just find something else out there to collect?

I used to collect baseball cards and comics. Around 14 or so I lost all interest in both. Now it's shot and drinking glasses. I have at least one shot glass from every state, and some pretty cool pint and pilsner glasses. Not really sure why I started collecting them, just liked them I guess.

Yep...I collect golf balls with logo's from the different courses I've played...started back in "81" when I first took up golf and just wanted to play as many courses in the U.S. that I could...right now I have over 200 different golf balls from all over the U.S.....and I have a display set up in my den...most memorable is the one from Pebble Beach...made my first hole in one there...so it ranks as my number one course....

The house we purchased had a work shop. We converted it to a game room plus added a 16x20 addition room to it. The one room with the pool table I themed it the nascar room. I have over 400 1/24 scale cars and around the same amount of 1/64 scale cars. They are displayed on shelves that I attached around the whole room. The other room; which is the poker room has my poker table, big screen tv, 3 pinball machines, 4 slot machines, 2 stand up arcade machines. I said I wouldn't collect things again after the storm, but the wife wanted a place to entertain guest when they came over.

I used to do baseball and football cards, but got rid of them all during my "letting go of attachments" era. I don't really regret it at all although I had some great old Saints cards.

Now I have reestablished a bit of my attachment habits by collecting beer glasses. If we see something we like, we either ask the bartender if we can buy them or we just take them. When I went to Europe a few years ago, I go a pair of Hacker Pschorr glasses (VERY thin and I'm surprised survived the trip home). Got a pair of Kozel glass mugs from Prague too.

I have an Amstel Bier (dutch-style) pilsner glass with a gold rim. Unfortunately it's mate was broken in transit.

i collect shot glasses as well....whenever i go out of town, i buy one.....

i'll tell friends and family to grab me one if they are going out on trip

my wife says i can't have any more until i get rid of some

i have saved one cap from each beer i have tried over the last 5-6 years :covri:

I used to collect comic books when I was younger. I still have them and one of my favorite ones is the first issue of Spawn signed by Todd McFarlane. I will be handing them down to my son.

Shot glass collectors. You should try stopping at yard sales. You would be surprised at the amount of shot glasses you can find for .10 and up. My nephew collects them and we always pick him up some.

I was looking for those recently, but ran into the more prevelant Stella Artois gold rimmed glasses. I have two pair of those.

The thing is that I want to get the FROM the country of origin. Just like my concert tshirts. From the show with dates and not from the store. So I guess I have to make my way to Amsterdam. Darn.

Steelbooks :covri:

Too darned expensive compared to what you get but I got hooked with U2, T2 HD-DVD and then found alot of them with exotic artwork =/

No idea why im doing it though considering you don't see nothing of them standing on their shelf..

I used to collect comic books but the prices are damn near $5 a comic so I stopped that.

I used to collect girlfriends but the cost of DNA tests, court fees, attorney fees, child support, divorces got to be a bit much so I stopped that.

I now collect watches and cologne.
