Just like I am interested in photography, I also enjoy fish and aquariums. Right now I have a 75 gallon tank with African Chichlids. I like these types of fish because of their nature and the males can have really nice coloring when fully grown. So for anyone else that is into aquariums, what sorts of fish do you like, do you prefer freshwater or saltwater, and what sort of set up do you have?

Please do share some photos of your tank or specific fish you like. :9:

Here are a few photos of my African Cichlids and tank. I am working on getting them more rocks for hiding places.

Here is a good place to order fish online: www.livefishdirect.com I have always been pleased with my orders.

One of my favorite fish, because of their beautiful coloring. However, they need huge tanks!

Haha, I'm just trying to create some threads that others might have an interest in and get some good discussions going on the topics.
I'm just breaking your balls. Looks like you're a busy dude. Nice looking fish.

Those dont look very big yet.

I used to keep bluegill in an aquarium because they were pretty.

Thanks, and you don't necessarily have to go bigger. Just have to make sure not to over crowd the tank and do frequent water changes. :9:

there was a great thread about aquariums a while back....

anyway, i miss my aquarium but i just don't have anywhere to set one up right now....

if you go to either of the Daquiri Bay Cafes in metry, they have some nice set ups with cichlids...that's what i want

A good bluegill can give a discus a run for his money iridescent-wise if you feed him a lot of tubifex worms. They get pretty big eventually though.

Very true, I would also lean towards keeping a bluegill rather than a discus because bluegills seem more hardy.
