I know it's early to be looking to the draft, but I see some glaring holes we need to fill on Offense and Defense. I'll post this one for the O and another for D. We will take the most suggested from each and combine for a third poll including both. Also make a suggestion if you can on who you believe that pick to be.
For the Offense I went with the TE position. My pick at this position would be Zach Miller ASU. Here's a bio on him:http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/miller_zach00.html

I know our TE's stink at receiving, but we need another decent WR. Right now we've got Colsten, Horn (who's becoming undependable), Devery who'll probably be gone, and a bunch of scrubs. We are proving we can score with our current crop of TE's, and we've been scoring with Conwell as our main guy through most of Haz's regime.

I'd like to be deeper at WR. Then TE, Then OL (anywhere), then maybe a good young QB.

We need to draft the BPA though, except in the 1st when we should target defense. We should not take Brady Quinn if he drops to us.

Mikeeeee

I think we need a complete TE. I also dont know how we need toi address the wr spot when we had to much depth teir this year in camp makes no since that we has all that great talent at wr to being thin

Tight End can be addressed in free agency with Eric Johnson or Daniel Graham. Is quarterback on that list a joke right?! Unless we can sign Eric Steinbach or Vince Manuwai, I'd like to see us draft Justin Blalock, a big run blocking guard (6'4 330lbs). Nesbit has done well but if we could slide in big guard who could open up the running game and put him next to Jammal Brown, Jahri Evans and Jeff Faine we'll set the offensive line up for years. With Brees, Colston, McAllister and Bush on the roster we'd be very hard to stop

I think with Brees the passing game will always be productive regardless of who we put at wide receiver. But we've GOT to get better at run blocking if we're going to tap the full potential of this offense. O-line all the way. (And don't forget, Stinchcomb is a free agent whose breakout season likely will get him some attention on the open market.)

I was rather curious if anyone would take an Olinemen. good point tho.

TE is a difficult position to project in the draft. I'd want to upgrade our talent at RT or pick up a solid pulling guard. We don't have a dominant run-blocking line.

WR is a close second. A complementary talent to take up Horn's mantle when he retires would solidify our WR corps for years.

To be honest, I dont know that the Saints use any picks on offense! Seriously, there is just no MAJOR upgrade needed. Maybe a TE if one falls to them, but I have a feeling that they address TE in free agency. Then of course, I could see some 2nd day picks being some OLine and a WR or 2 in the late rounds.

Realistically, I could see our draft being....MLB, CB, CB, DT, DE in the first 5 picks.

This is what I was thinking, although we could take Ramirez out to TTU in the 2nd or 3rd he weighs in at 340+ and is very strong.

I posted a defensive draft survey as well. Thanks for the opinion tho.

I think I saw somewhere that someone had us taking Blalock if he fell to us. It would be great to see Deuce and Reggie coasting threw a huge gap at the line.

Besides, if we get Blalock, we will still be able to call the O-line the OJ's!
