I just got a call from someone claiming to be with verizon saying I won a lottery for a half million dollars and a SUV. He wanted me to meet him in the parking lot of a Winn Dixie, Wal-Mart or K-Mart. I told him OK but I'm bringing the police to protect me, and if he is a scamer he will be arrested. He hung up. He's calling from number 876 303-3008 check it out at http://phonenotes.org/8763033008

Wouldn't it have been more fun to set it up with him and then call the police/FBI and let them pose as you at the meeting?

"Hey, I'll give you $500,000 if you give me $200,000 back!"
"No thanks, I don't have $200,000."
:eyebrow:

you don't know, it could have been a $2 million SUV. Then he's screwed on taxes

There were so many things wrong with this scam. He asked me to meet a rep of the company at a Winn Dixie. I said I said I wasn't near one, so he suggested a WalMart. I said no but how about at K-mart and he said OK and that he would stay on the phone wih me until I got there. He never asked me what K-mart I was going to, and he certainly wanted to stay on the cell phone with me so I couldn't call the cops. Dumbazz didn't realize that there are still land-line phone in exsistence.

This sounds like one of your buddies playing a joke on you.

If it was that dude giving a Nigerian a deposit for the rent, then I'm sure he would have met them.

Hey - the Nigerians are good people. In fact, I'm helping out a Nigerian Prince who had $14 million in an account but needed a $50,000 transaction fee from Western Union so that he could get his money. He said he would give me $3.5 million if I helped him out! So I wired him the $50,000 and my money should be coming any day now.

Sometimes helping people you don't even know but who contact you on the internet can really pay off! Life's pretty much awesome for me right now.

That's an awesome deal!!! I wish I'd have some of that luck.

Well, today may be your lucky day!

Here's the deal. I just found out that he sent the $3.5 million to me yesterday - but the bank is demanding that I pay a $17,500 processing fee (.05%). It has to be cash.

Sooo, if you can pay the processing fee, I'll split the $3.5 million with you.

Wow! That's too good of a deal to be true! But I know I can trust you - you're on here and on my facebook. Let me get down to Western Union right now.
