We've had macroblocking for the past six months and tonight every channel is cutting in and out. If this keeps up we won't even be able to watch MNF. When we called to report problems last month, they said it was due to water being in the line and the problem was cleared up. Funny thing is, everyone I talk to in the metro area has said the same thing. We get nothing but interrupted service and they'll probably end up raising their prices yet again.

o well now i know its not just me, i guess something is wrong with the signal or something

We got a note on our door saying they would be doing some work this week.

They said that if you have them for telephone, internet, or television service that there would be interruptions.

Our t.v. has "stalled," a friend of mine tried calling this morning and said she got a recording on our phone that said something in the nature of..."due to telephone service work in this area, this phone is temporarily unavailable."

Not sure if that is going on in your area or not, but thought I would pass the info along just in case.

I have been having the same problems with my service. I cant even get some channels. I am also disgusted that they dont carry the nfl network. I spoke to a lady yesterday as i was paying my bill and she said they lost a lot of customers for that. I thinkdirect tv has a contract for 10 yrs or something. I heard that they wanted it to be a premium channel and the nfl network didnt want you to have to pay extra for it. Not sure how accurate that is. For those with direct tv can u get local channels or not?

cox sucks....they don't even have HBO on regular cable....you have to pay for digital which is twice as much if you want HBO.....as for those interuptions, we have had a nuch of those for a while now.....

In the New Orleans area you can get all local channels with DTV.

I have had nothing but trouble with Cox, and theyhave been unresponsive about clearing up the customer service problems. I am seriously considering switching to satellite after Thanksgiving.

With yesterday problems, which appeared to be city-wide, I tried calling customer services, and all I got was a recording saying that the number was not available. I am paying way too muich for this pathetic service. They are about to lose another customer. Shame on them.

The problem is not just in NO! Cox BR is awful as well. HD service is horrible. Lots of problems. My current one is that my cable box does not catch certain channels. Yet I can catch them on regular cable without the box. Fun stuff!

They still haven't fully recovered from Katrina. Service response time is pretty slow -- especially if you are requesting a new installation.

Might be moving to the Northshore soon but I've heard nothing but bad things about Charter, too.

I'm not buying their Katrina excuse any longer. They had problems after the storm, the problems were cleared up for a while and now there are more problems but worse than before.
