I know this means nothing but it does show that if we play our game we win.
1.We have scored more points and allowed less.
2.We allow less first downs.
3.We average mmore yards and allow less per game.
4.We allow less and get more sacks.
5.We win the time of possesion battle.

Total Offense
Saints 3 Cincy 12

Total Defense
Saints 15 Cincy 27

We will be able to run on them with Duece and Reggie inside and out and that is how we can win. I do not doubt that we can win a shootout but if we pound the ball and get off the field on third down we can win by tiring them down. Watching Chad and Palmer on the sidline for 10 min in the third quarteris the perfict way to beat them and I am sre that Paytonwill have our guys ready to grind the ball.

The Saints game plan for Sunday? It sure looks like it.

I have said several times that Cincy's O, while potent on paper, has only shown up twice this year scoring over 30 points - once in a win and once in a loss. They are to be respected, but not feared. I don't see the shootout many are predicting.

The Saints will only get into a shootout when we play a high octane O, and turn the ball over, giving our D a short field to defend.

The most telling thing in your post was their D's rating - 27.

In our house, with our O, and with no mistakes, I think you're absolutely right. We can keep Palmer and Co. off the field for a very long time...

Not post ever truer. Which is why it fathoms me that people on this board say we'll be lucky to win this weekend.

Last time I checked as long as we don't make mistakes we win. We've dominated every opponent this year win or lose. The difference is always a TO or so.

I have to agree. Although Pittsburg was close in stats to us we loss simply because of the TO ratio. As always that is the single most important stat of any game. Please guys, hang on to the football this weekend.

I know everyone looks at the yardage but I think points are more important

saints offense in points is NUMBER 6

(should have put up way more points in the earlier weeks but we had major problems in the redzone that only gave us fieldgoals - which is a problem that yards don't show eventhough it seems they seemed to have fixed that)

Bengals offense is ranked NUMBER 7

(now I dont know there story but our average points are about .5 better - that isnt much)

Saints defense is ranked NUMBER 19

(really jumped after the last few games but instead of saying they got lucky early on I will say that they have had a few bad games and hope they fix this *although the lost of Harper was a big hit and still scares me for when we play Vick)

Bengals defense is ranked NUMBER 25

(hopefully they stay ranked 25 or perhaps worst)

I think it all depends on what stats you look at. I'm not that big on rankings or even necessarily yards per game. I like to look at the averages per play.

Here's a quick review:

The rush defense numbers worry me. If the Bengals can run and contrrol the ball and the Saints can't run, we could be in trouble.

All in all, I think the Saints will win but I don't think it's going to be easy.

You make some great points, Cincy Saint.

I simply see it as our game to lose.

If we do what this O consistently does, without turn overs... And if our D can create enough "3 and outs" (our fans will be a large part of that this week with the crowd noise - I'll do my part :ezbill:)... Then it's our game to lose.
