In 2007 I did a cover of '' The Chair '' on Soundclick. With all the bands and studio produced music, all I had and still have was my Shure mic, Free Audacity, my Cort Earth Acoustic and my passion and I was scared. It went to number 1 on the charts, but it was just a simple karaoke track and a poor 3rd take so I was amazed.

I got alot of emails so I decided to do '' Behind Blue Eye's '' on my acoustic and posted it and took it off, now I want to post it again because I have finally decided the time is now, not to try and make it but just to have my music stamped online in the sands of time for my family to at least have something to remember me by after I'm gone. Here is that song, my acoustic cover of Behind Blue Eye's.

Now I am working on my debut on Youtube which will be a cover of Johnny Cash's '' Hurt '' after I do a few other covers, I will then share my originals. I know sometimes I am not the easiest person to have a convo with but I really appreciate all that listen and give feedback good or bad. Sorry if it's not that good, I have no studio nor the money to use one and never had the patience to do alot of takes. I hope you like it.

Well.... Here I am..

i think it's pretty cool that you covered a Limp Bizkit song :9:

Behind blue eyes originally by the who covered by limp bizkit. Hurt originally by nine inch nails covered by johnny cash but I like the cash version better although the nin one is still good.

OP, have you written anything of your own, or just covers? Just curious.

Yea I have alot of original songs. Reason why I am going to cover Hurt, then Wish You Were Here for now is because it's been hard to decide which original to debut with, I keep flip floppin' on one to the other, thats mainly why I am doing covers right now.

I kinda want to do '' Shed Some Light '' by Shinedown cause my strength is actually that style but I have twang that is hard to shake so I gotta kinda be saddle with having that in my style.

Funny story behind it is the girl I was dating wanted me to actually do '' Aerials '' from System of a Down, and my brother wanted me to do '' Turn the Page '' Metallica Version, and my Mom wanted me to do the Who's version of BBE but I liked Limp's more so you know mom had to win in the end but I liked Limp's version better that was the only comprimise.

I never wanted to do any of them I was always happy just playing scales in my room but they kept on my back to do it.

I was nervous just posting it here. Not from comments or anything, just a shy dude when it comes to me actually singing.

I think they sound good. clean guitar work. you cant beat the price of audacity if you find a good Cheep program let me know i use audacity also and have tried music Creator 6 by cakewalk i didn't like it though and went back to Audacity.

Thanks man I appreciate it, I appreciate everyone just taking the time to even listen even if it's just the first 15 seconds I really do.

I tried cakewalk It was a flippin' nightmare. I use only Audacity cause it's soo simple. That track was a straight sing. Then I add a slight reverb, the bass to 3, echoed the parts that echoed, then just equalized it and exported it at the highest quality.

Thats all I really know how to do is the basic things, I want to learn how to do the effect of the phaser like you hear in songs like in Metallica's '' nothing else matters ''.

I'm always on the lookout for new things and ideas I will let you know if I find anything better but thus far Audacity has been the top of the line for me.

Even my sony vegas is too complicated for me to use.

You wouldn't be the first to make that work (twang w/ pop rock stuff)

See also: Three Doors Down

Not like the popular albums - god please no - but think like the raw stuff they sold at the CPR fests early on - people forget how good that actually was

Still have one of their original Kryptonite CDs before they got the big deal - most people wouldn't recognize it as the disaster TDD later became

Wow you went to those CPR fests too! Awesome ! And you are correct raw is where you find your greatness IMO. I odn't listen to to much radio in the last couple years, so I dont know how it is now really.

I have a very unique style it's like alt. rock and country, I can even sing metal hit all the notes, not steve tyler notes but there is no song I can't pull off, When they had ksolo on Myspace I had 1,000s of fans that gave me so much joy it was sad when they shut it down on all of us.

Hundreds followed to my facebook, and they are asking for stuff and I don't want to let them down, so I'm doing the covers until I can find the right originals to post, I have wrote over 1,300 songs about 70 are good and 20 I hold dear. 73 copyrighted total.

I want to do alot of cinemaphotography, get some good shot and make a full hd music video for the debut of my orignal music. I feel the debut original is important you only have one debut, so Im taking my time with this decision.

CPR ROCKS! :hihi:

I really enjoyed your cover of BBE. I only know the version by the Who and it is one of my faves from era.

You have a nice voice and your playing is excellent. I say go for it! I would love to hear your originals as well.

Great job. :9:
