Tomorrow night, the rematch that I have been waiting for, Matt Hughes takes on Georges St Pierre.
My prediction: The title changes hands. I think it is now time for GSP. If he doesn't win and Hughes retains, then he should fight Serra, beat him and retire as the greatest UFC champ ever.
Opinions??

Heavyweight Title Fight
Jeff Monson vs Tim Sylvia.
Sylvia wins by Ko, however if Monson gets him to the ground, things could get very dicey for the Champ.

Brandon Vera vs Frank Mir
Vera is coming up, next in line for a title if he wins. I say Vera via KO. Mir seems uninspired as of late.

Jake O Brien vs Josh Shockman
Heavies, not too sure of either.

Hector Ramirez vs James Irvin
Irvin seemed to be a next big thing, but hasn't been impressive as of late, I say he gets the win though.

Antoni Hardonk vs Brad Imes.
Don't care about this fight.

Drew Mcfederis vs Alessio Sakara
Sakara is a good stand up fighter looking to rebound from a loss. KO Sakara rd 2

Grason Tibau vs Nick Diaz
Going with Diaz

Joe Stevenson vs Dokonjonosuki Mishima
Could be interesting. Mishima is a very good fighter. I call an Upset. Mishima will surprise.....I hope so I don't look bad.

I am looking forawd tot he Tim/Monson fight more than any other.. There is such a contrast withthis fight. It is either goingrto be great or terrible, but it will not last past the first round. Nice job by the UFC is fit this fight in here because if this was the main event on the card Dana would have as many ****** off fans and the Shamrock/Ortiz 2 fight tagged with the Manic/Vampire dibacle.

I am going with George too. One because I am ready for Hughes to come to Earth a few fights ago and two because I think George is going to leace it all on the mat trying to get the belt. It is going to be close, but if it stays on the feet too long I think Hughs will wear him out. George needs Hughs to start worring about his takedowm early. They are both well rounded, but Hughs is stronger while George is faster.

Mir looks like he sits at the pub cursing the woman that killed his career. If he can get into shape he can be a player in the heavy weight division. As of late he looks like he had a kid...maybe twins. Vera is a good fighter and I am wondering if the UFC is trying to cast Mir off with a big loss. This is a step down for Vera.

Jake O Brien vs Josh Shockman
I know nothing about these two.

Hector Ramirez vs James Irvin
Irvin is the dude with the sick flying knee KO right? If so he is like Tebucky Jones. Looks good on paper, but seems to lack "it". I do not know about the other dude, so I can't really say who wins this one.

Antoni Hardonk vs Brad Imes.

Drew Mcfederis vs Alessio Sakara
Drawing a blank on these guys too.

Grason Tibau vs Nick Diaz
I like Diaz, but I think he is going to be a career stepping stone for young up and coming fighters.

Joe Stevenson vs Dokonjonosuki Mishima
Joe has never really impressed me. I think Mishima wins this one easy. Jowe is another guys that never seems to be in great shape.

Is this the first time in a while that Neer is not fighting?

Also where is Sanchez?(don't like him, but haven't seen him)

Is there a Militach (sp I killed it I know) fighter on the undercard?

Where has team quest been?

I think GSP can take it, but I've learned not to underestimate Hughes. We'll see.

I've known Joe for about 10 years now, and I don't know many fighters that train as hard as that boy does. Don't let his naturally thick frame fool you, that boy can go. Go get'um Joe!

Team Quest is alive and kicking. Danny Hederson beat the snot out of Vitor Belfort in Prides "The Real Deal" event October 21st in Las Vegas. The Real Deal was Prides American debut.

UFC Legend Randy Couture competed last night in a Submission Wrestling competition against ADCC Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Champion Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza in Culver City and fought to a draw.

By the way, Team Quest recently opened up their California facility here in Temecula. If you're ever down here in So Cal, come on down and I'll introduce you to Danny and some of the boys.

Sanchez is the main event of the next Fight Night in Dec. It is taking place at a Marine base. He is fighting Joe Riggs.
Also, Brad Imes has been replaced by someone, I can't quite remember the name. Not sure why.

That would be awesome. Seriously I would be honor if that ever happened. I live in Vegas now, so I am not that far away. I am laid up in a cast due to a long waited knee surgery.

This is going to be an exciting night. I can't wait to come back to this thread and read everyone's thoughts.

Hughes wins with ground and pound.

Vera takes one of Mir's legs out... either via kicks or a submission.

Maine-iac drops Monson with a knee to the face.

I want Tito V Chuck... can't wait until Dec 30th.

And the Un-phenomenal Vitor was on roids!

Good info on Couture... Never a huge fan of his style but respect him immensely

Here's a round by round recap of Couture's fight last night by the O.C. Mafia's Steve Lawson. Steve was a National Greco Champion and an ex-teamate of Couture's. Just a side note, You never want to get into a beer drinking contest with this dude.:)

"Great event put on last night in Culver City by Prosubleague and founder Rico Chippereli former University of Iowa National Champion.

There were five matches on a raised stage in the Veterans Auditorium with some funky scoring

Final match of the night featured UFC legend Randy Couture and Brazillian Submission Guru Ronaldo"Jacare"Souza.

Looked like a game of cat and mouse or shall we call it Roadrunner vs Coyote.

1st period was 4 minutes where Randy took him down pretty easy and "Jacare" layed on his back doing what Jiu Jitsu guys do--Randy was never close to having any submission put him nor was he close to getting any submission--Randy kind of looked frustrated like he wished he could drop some elbows.

2nd Round was 4 minutes and was pretty much the same

3 round was a one minute overtime of the same.

Bout was called a draw! The crowd looked like it had about 2000 black belts, 9 hot women, and two fat wrestling coaches in it! Culver City Police were lucky there were no problems because the was the wildest, tough looking crowd I have ever seen in any sport"-------

Later,
Lawson

No elbows? No thanks!...

I bet he did want to give a little ground and pound.... or booty slap (thanks Tito)

Dokonjonosuki Mishima

Wow an Asian with facial hair. He looks like a mutt though.

I am going with Joe. I have to stick with my wrestlers.

Here we go...I am jacked up already.

Alright that dude is a nut. He came out with a snoopy doll.

Joe won. First round submission.

Yes I like talking to myself. Go away.
